Eagle ‘Exciting’!

Eagle Exciting…definition…an eagle sighting when you get real real excited! hahaha!

ecropIMG_2747

I was at the Library Pond (we call it that because…it’s close to the library).

librarypondIMG_2739

I see this huge flock of egrets there just about every time I drive by.

And today I brought my good camera to get some better pics.

eagleIMG_2743

I was staring at the egrets and had my camera on them, when an eagle flew out of the flock!

And right over my head!

One of the few times my camera was at the ready and I was able to get the eagle in the shot and be excited at the same time!

He swooped around and came at me looking like this!

I couldn’t believe the view I got!

Diane, I can't tell how envious I am. LOL. My daughter Liz just spotted an eagle at her house and sent pictures. I told her to offer it one of her chickens and keep it there till I could come get photos. LOL. You got some great shots. I love this. Plus a whole line of egrets. my gosh. Blessings for a fun Saturday. xoxo, Susie

What is more majestic than a bald eagle?? We have some that nest in Guntersville, Alabama and they are quite the tourist attraction.

Hello Diane!:) Wow!! What an unexpected and exiting sighting, and you got some great photos of the eagle. Egrets galore too, so many egrets would be an exiting encounter for me to see. Nice shot of them by the pond1:)

Hi,
We almost never see an Eagle around here. When I lived on the farm we would see one now and then. They are amazing.
Looks like Fall is moving in fast here now, pretty soon I will be pressing leaves and raking every few minutes.

Birds can give us special and memorable moments. I think you got one there with that Bald Eagle.

Can't believe all those egrets but I guess that water is very healthy with loads of egret food?

Awesome shots, Diane. Good for you!! I just love seeing eagles. Yesterday on the way to town, there were two alongside the road. I think there must have been some roadkill there. And a few days ago there were two flying (gliding in a thermal, I think)getting higher and higher above our garden. It's always so exciting. And your photos are just amazing! xo
