A Slow Walk around the Neighborhood!

I couldn’t resist grabbing my camera to take photos of some of the houses in my neighborhood.

It made for a ‘slow walk’!

More of an afternoon stroll!

I’m sure everything will come down in the next few days.

I’ll miss seeing all the beautiful decorations.

We’ve been setting records for high temps! It’s been around 80 for the past several days!

Are you ready to ‘undecorate’? (I’m not quite!)

So nice! I'm going to keep up my decorations this week and take down next weekend. I feel like I've been rushing here and there all Dec and so will enjoy this last week and the glow of tree lights and my vintage treasures before they go away for another year. I've not completely lost my voice but I feel better. Hugs to you Sis!

Beautiful decorations! I leave mine up till New Years. I'm so busy before the 25th, I like to enjoy them now in this quiet week afterwards...

It's easy to decorate outside when it's so nice! Give me those people who are out there hanging lights in the middle of a blizzard! LOL! Very pretty though. I like it up North when there would be a layer of snow on the lights and wreathes. Can you tell, I'm homesick? But actually they had rain same as here so it was not a white Christmas. It was until the warm temps and the rain came. LOL! It was 67 yesterday and 62 today....gloomy doomy out here with fog and gray skies.

I think I would like to enjoy our decorations for a little bit longer. After New Years I will start putting things up for another year.

Yes, I'm ready to get back to normal, but I will wait a couple more days. I try to wait until New Year's Day but rarely make it to then.

You live in a very festive neighborhood, Diane. I was thinking that I would take down the trees today--I put up two. I know. Crazy. Especially the one downstairs that no one sees, but me and I like it. I am ready to return to normal now. Well, maybe tomorrow.

Don't you wish people would leave the decorations up for a little while longer? Your neighborhood wreaths are so pretty. We had 70 degrees temperature yesterday and our neighbor took down his decorations. Today it is 30 degrees and snow is coming this week. I must leave up our Christmas lights until after it snows because they look so pretty in the snow. However, the people in Florida can take down their decorations any ole time they want so why not leave those pretty wreaths till February?:)? Just say'n.

Love the beautiful wreaths! We keep our decorations up until January 1st. The wreath on our front door we keep up as long as it lasts because it is fresh. But many neighbors keep up outdoor lights on for weeks after Christmas. Since it's so cold here and gets dark early in winter, I think it helps add color to the sometimes dreariness of winter and brightens the neighborhood.

love all the pretty decorations and love to go on walks with y'all! I'm definetly not ready to take our decor down just yet. I always wait til after New Years Day and sometimes even later than that. How bout you? I leave our my snowmen and things that can still be winter/seasonal decor, just put away the Christmas and santa stuff. I take all the rest down after Valentines day, by then I'm real tired of all the red and ready for the greens, pinks, and yellows of spring!

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas! Love all the wreaths and decorated lanterns - so pretty! I could use some 80 degree weather - it's down-right chilly here. Keeping the fire going day and night. I won't take down the decorations until after New Year's. It's a process.......!! Sending hugs xo Karen

Your neighborhood looks so pretty for the Holidays! Happy New Year! We are at Pink Shell (by boat) and it is cold! Supposed to warm up tomorrow. I sure do hope so. Lounge and restaurants are nice and all are lovely, but The beach and pool are beautiful. Can't wait to get out there to walk and swim. But not today!
