The Best Week!

I think this is the best week of the holiday season!

All of the important things have been taken care of by now and most of us can relax and enjoy our homes and family if they are close by.

I love having my house decorated and every room has extra twinkly lights, lamps and candles.

And it’s fun to find Christmas cards in the mail every day.

Such a good time to look closely at all of the things we can be thankful for.

So this is just a little walk around my house.

Stopping to look at something cute and enjoying our memories.

Do you have time for a game of Park and Shop?

*** Happy Holiday Week ***

Hello, I agree it is the best week. I am happy to sit back and not worry about fixing the Christmas dinner. My shopping is done. Your home is looking beautiful with all the lovely Christmas decorations. I wish you and yours a blessed and merry Christmas.

This is a fun week! I usually wrap gifts and find I have a few last minute items to purchase, make cookies and listen to Christmas music. This year I'm taking care of the Grands while Sara & Blake go away for their 10 yr wedding anniversary. We will see Santa after church today, let's hope that goes well. Hugs!

I can feel the excitement of Christmas! We are singing Christmas songs in church, and people are busy shopping and I enjoy the Christmas decorations in shopping malls. I have not played Park and Shop game.

It is a fun week. I still have to buy the food for Christmas dinner, but other than that, it is time to sit back and watch some great Christmas movies!

Diane, ,I thought with four daughters, I surely would have heard of the game, park and shop. LOL. I miss buying games for my girls..Don't break the ice, Don't spill the beans, Last straw, Monopoly, scrabble, boggle, spill and spell...just to name a few. LOL. It's looking pretty at your house. Love dolly's coat. The wee fence with the deer and trees. So cute! Blessings for a very relaxing week there. xoxo, Susie

Hello Diane! Lovely Christmas decorations, and loads of the Christmas spirit in your house. I'm counting down to Christmas too. Everything prepared, and as usual I'll be cooking the Christmas Eve dinner which is when Portuguese people celebrate Christmas, and exchange presents. The family always come here for lunch on Christmas day too, so I'll be busy, but the girls help, and it's such a pleasure to see the happy faces of my family. Merry Christmas Diane to you and your family.:)

Your house is charming with all the Christmas lovelies. I really like that deer family surrounded with all the mini trees, so cute. And the first Santa looks old-fashioned, love him. It's so nice getting cards in the mail, like you said.

Merry Christmas, Diane!

love, ~Sheri

This is a good week. The gifts are wrapped....the baking done...and it's nice and cold outside. Time to read in front of the fireplace with hot chocolate. I am also doing all of the laundry so I can pack for NC tomorrow. I too look forward to the mailman coming. Cards are nice...I especially like the photo cards and the ones with a newsletter tucked inside. Merry merry Christmas to you and yours, Janey

I have 2 gifts to buy and get my Christmas cards in the mail tomorrow, then I will enjoy this week.
Merry Christmas!

Yes, a great week! Love your decorated home. I spy a sweet Christmas tablecloth. :)

Enjoy your week! I'm looking forward to last minute wrapping while listening to Christmas carols.

You certainly have the touch for decorating! I spy a lovely owl painting, I think, in one of your pictures, and also a lute or something like a lute that is atop your bookshelf. Interesting instrument that isn't seen very often! I love your deer forest!

Thank you for inviting us into your home for the holiday tour. I loved walking around and seeing all the twinkly lights, Santas, and that herd of deer. They are so cute! Merry Christmas!

I want to know: Are you going to stuff that white stocking in the bedroom? I still laugh every time I think of it.
