Same sign…different bird!
I thought I was seeing the Green Heron when I first walked up to this spot. He had his head pulled in.
But when he flew, I knew it was a Little Blue!
How neat to see him ‘fishing for his lunch’!
Have to find just the right one!
Got it!!! (a tastey morsel)
A Pied Billed Grebe was close by too.
Even though the water was glaring with the bright sunshine, his feathers came out so neat!
Always lots of birds and critters at the Florida State Parks!
And what do we spy here?
A PINK kayak!
Now we’ll all want a pink one!

Yes I think I'd love to have a pink kayak to float along in and spot the beautiful birds. :)

Great photos of the Heron catching his food!

Lovely captures of our 'feathered friends' especially eating lunch ~ thanks,
Wishing you a Happy Weekend ~ ^_^
I'm mesmerized by Blue Herons; such an elegant, regal waterfowl. Your photos are just lovely, as if I were there with you, Sis!
Wow Diane, I am always amazed at your photos of wildlife! It always looks like you are standing very close by! These are such great photos! Of course your subjects are pretty cute and naturally photogenic! xo

The birds are gorgeous, but oh my a pink kayak!! LOVE!
Fun seeing all those interesting birds! But I can also imagine a slithering snake in there and it gives me the heebeegeebees!
Awesome photos of the heron having lunch, Diane! Such a beautiful day to be out on the lake in a pink kayak!
The little blue heron is so sweet. I've never seen one myself, and don't think they're up this way. Lots of great blue herons here though. You got some wonderful shots of the birds. Pink kayak!! So girlie ;)

Spring is calling my name, I want to get out in nature and rent a kayak.
Ann
The little blue heron is just soo cute!!
If Prunella had a kayak it would most definately have to be pink!!
Have a fantastic weekend :)
Once again, great bird photos. That pink kayak is pretty snazzy!
Beautiful shot of the blue heron. I can honestly say I have not seen a pink kayak before...
Enjoy your weekend,
Andrea
Cheers Diane. Hope you're enjoying your glass of plonk. If you had just slowed down on that last glass you could have seen that it was blue rather then green. Better luck next time - hic.
Really nice photos today Diane.
My daughter has a pink kayak. This is the first time I've ever seen another one.
I really do have a pink kayak!! : )
Just marvellous to spot this bird dining
Hope you have a great weekend

I don't have a pink kayak but it sure is cute. Love your shots of the blue heron. Wish I could have been there.
We have a blue heron that frequents our pond in GA. I am going to have to think of a clever name for him! Any suggestions?
Hello Diane, I love your pretty header. The little blue heron is one of my favorites. It is odd how they can make themselves look short or tall. The Pied-billed Grebe is a cutie. I never seen a pink kayak, perfect for February, since it is the color for Cancer Awareness. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Enjoy your day and the weekend!
Oh Diane, such fabulous photographs.
So good to see the fish in the beak, and I love the pink kayak!
Enjoy your weekend
All the best Jan
The Little Blue is wonderful!
That must have been exciting to see....his expression doesn't look friendly though....haha.
Diane, that is definitely a pink kayak! Too cute!
I can't tell what your blue heron has in his mouth. It looks like a bug but it also looks like frog legs. :-)
Those water pictures look so dreamy!!! I love them!!
I'm always amazed at the variety of birds in your part of the world, Diane. And all so different from the ones we see around here who, I must say, are very noisy in the mornings :-)

Doesn't she look perfectly at ease out there paddling away. Wow! What setting was your camera on to get such a clear shot of water, feathers, and sun?
Your photos are always so wonderful, Diane. The blue heron is such a pretty bird, and you caught some great action shots there with his meal. A pink kayak is a really fun idea.
Have a great Sunday, Diane!
Not only the fabulous photos today, but your narrative is so fun also!!
And a pink kayak....I'm gonna go out to Amazon and see if they have THAT kind for me. Not. lol
Thanks so much for joining in with us bird enthusiasts this weekend and sharing your link at I'd Rather B Birdin'!
You take such excellent pictures!
Preciosas fotografĂas!!
ps....thanks for visiting with me at Hootin' Anni's yesterday Diane!
great shots of both birds :) Nice catch.
At first I thought we were looking at a new pink bird call a pink kayak! Oh, one of those things! How neat! She looks like she is enjoying her day.
He's a funny looking bird, isn't he? (but kind of cute hehehe). And that Pink kayak could is really cool, I want one!
love, ~Sheri
Wonderful pictures! You really got some great shots of the heron, and love that pink kayak indeed! :)
Warmth and greens and unfrozen water!
Love your bird pictures and pink kayak is awesome!
these are amazing - everyone got a great catch!!!
Oh now that Kayaker has spirit! Go girl! Lovely birds. All the small herons look so different when they put their neck out... that really confused me at first.
Fantastic Photos!!!
