Swallow Tailed Kite

I went to the Farmer's Market this week and they had fresh Florida organic peaches! They were perfectly ripe and smelled amazing! So I bought all my fresh veggies and fruits and headed to Sholom Park to walk. I had a plan! I would eat a peach and then take a really fast paced walk! I stood next to my car....la la la....enjoying my peach and the beauty of the sky! When lo and behold I looked up and saw a Swallow Tailed Kite!

The race was on! I walked (this would be the fast paced part of my exercise plan) to the back of park and looked out over this field.

There they were! Two of them!

I zoomed as much as I could and then cropped my photos.

 (landing gear only partially down!!!)

After a dozen or so photos, I walked some more.

And don't worry, I found a trash can for my peach pit! heehee!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

YUM on that peach! But this would have been a post (if done by me) of "I saw these two kits and ran to get my camera but was too late!" :-) Your photos are amazing! Have a blessed Easter.

what a wonderful, uplifting (no pun intended) post, Diane!!!

I love organic peaches, sounds great. they are difficult to get in the stores here in Canada, such a limited season, especially with the organic types.

Happy Easter and Week and hugs, G

I am a little late in visiting this weekend. Your bird pictures are so good. I bet your heart was going "pitter patter" as you ran to the open field. And there are no fresh peaches in our town yet. I would love a bite of one about now. Have a great Monday!

Oh my gosh, I thought that was a real bird in the sky at first! It looks so real. Your peaches sound delicious, and now I'm craving one hehehe. I don't think they're ripe enough yet, but the farmer's market always has good ones.
