It's HOT....I know I live in Florida! But somehow we skipped a season this year. We didn't really have a winter at all. It was more like Spring...with short days!
Now the temps are already reaching into the 90s so if I don't walk early in the mornings, I'm stuck with late in the evenings (and it's STILL hot then).
These photos at the pond nearby almost look like black and white photos.
When I pointed my camera straight into the setting sun, I got this neat bokeh effect.
And don't you love this hawk perched in a Cypress tree?
This is the view from the back of my house, looking out over the golf course!
Beautiful!!!
Do you like to walk outside and watch the sunset?
I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE.

I try to get out early in the morning for the same reason Diane. I love to walk at dusk as well. God has given us such a beautiful world to enjoy.
I love early morning and late evening walks. The birds just seem to be alive and I love the quiet time too.
Diane, Girl, you know I love sunsets. LOL. I think that pink sky is beautiful. I can not take the hot humid weather...I am an old lady with a built in furnace at times. LOL. Hope you still enjoy your morning walks. You need to come see my post of Emma and Savannah. Oh dear they are growing. Blessings to you my friend, xoxo, Susie
Oh yes, I'm a big fan of sunrises and sunsets! I enjoyed your photos, especially the hawk one. And although today it's 39 degrees and possible snow is in the forecast, I wouldn't trade you for that 90s temperatures. Yikes! Hope you have a good week ahead, Diane! xo
Maybe rain here on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.
Good morning Diane,
love your sunset shots, great captures! The hawk in the Cypress tree is very artistic and moody, he's sitting so still like a statue.
Wishing you a very Happy May Day, Mosaic Monday and a wonderful week.
Maggie.
Love the photos! I don't walk much around here but your views are amazing.
It's been hot here too, so I know it must be hot where you are. And yes it seems a bit early. Love the early morning!
I'm sorry you didn't get to enjoy the different seasons, but we just have to make the best of what we have, and walking early is a blessing, so quiet and peaceful then! I enjoyed your early morning shots, so lovely and still and lots of pink hues too! Hugs to you on this lovely first day of May!
Fantastic photos...as always! Thanks for sharing your world with us. Jackie
Early morning is my favorite time to walk. The temps are very up and down here so I' haven't established a good pattern yet. I do need to get back into a daily routine. Love your photos. xo Laura
So much rain and storms here, now it has gotten cold in the high 50's.
But we have May flowers.
Thanks for taking us on your walk, love the pink sky.
Beautiful sky.....love spring.....happy week love Ria x ❤️
Beautiful pictures and yes I enjoy evenings outside too :-) Have a lovely day!
Blessings,
Jill
Early morning walks are the best! I love the coolness and the solitude, with the sounds of the birds waking up. Beautiful scenes there. We are still in the 50's here in WA state with lots of rain showers. Sending hugs xo Karen
Happy happy may day Diane and i sure do love that hawk picture!!
I absolutely LOVE sunsets and we get some of the most beautiful ones over the bay. Those are great pictures and I love the one looking directly at the sun. I have never heard that term before (with the light orbs). Beautiful- xo Diana
I can't believe its that hot there already. We're at the lake and it's only 42 today. Ugh. I'll trade ya! :-)
That does sound HOT.
Beautiful photos.
You probably already know that I love my morning walks and to watch the start of the day. : )
Oh yes, Diane, we love to walk in the evenings when the sun is setting. Unfortunately my knee hasn't allowed that recently! It's better, but not quite ready for a long walk. Your photos are beautiful. How nice to have such a view of the sunset. ♥
I haven't gotten back into walking again this spring . . . must do . . . it is so relaxing.
Waft a little heat this way, please. It's been an unusually cold spring and I'm longing for some warmth. We do like to walk in the evenings, even in the dark in the winter time. It's pretty safe here. But it's nicest when the sun is going down and we can look over the hills and the water to see the sunset. Lovely photos of your evening walk.
Diane, I hope your spring returns. It is too early in the year for 90 degrees (in my opinion). The last picture is my favorite. Such gorgeous pinks!
I love pink sunsets! So pretty! We had 20 inches of snow this past weekend but it's all melted away and will be 80 this Saturday. Crazy Colorado weather----lol!
Oh, goodness! That hot already? I appreciate you getting up bright and early to avoid that. I'm not a morning person at all so I tend to enjoy sunsets a lot ! Ha!
Love your shots...the hawk in the tree is amazing.

Gosh it is so hot for you at the moment.
Your sunset images are gorgeous.
Have a wonderful month of May with hopefully some cooling breezes :)
That sky is absolutely incredible. Hope that your weather will moderate a bit. I could trade you at least 20 degrees!
Love that last shot- the clouds look so pink and gorgeous. Sorry it is so hot...we are in the midst of the terrible spring storm season that I hate so bad. And then we will be joining you with the 90s, only we will have equal humidity, so it's twice as bad. Have a great day!
I used to love early morning walks. Now I can only dream of them. I love sunrises! They speak a newness, freshness, new beginnings.
I like the different kinds of lighting you got in the photos you took. They are all amazing! Hope you get some relief from the heat soon. It is cold here today. We are getting company and had to turn on the heat. Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful photos, Diane. We expect a high of 47 here today. Wish we could both hit a happy medium -- maybe 25 degrees up or down, depending on where we live!
The sunset over the golf course is so beautiful, Diane. And what a cool picture of the Hawk in the Cypress tree. I'm a morning person, so I see the sunrises more than the sunsets. Yes, it's getting warmer isn't it?
love, ~Sheri
Oh my goodness, look at that pink sky! Yes, I love to walk outside and watch the sunset.
Thank you for sharing with us, sis.
<3
Yes I do like to watch pretty sunsets, and that's a great one.Love visiting Florida. The end of the month will have us heading to the hills of Colorado to escape the Texas heat.
Beautiful pictures. I love sunsets as well as sun rises. I walk in early morning usually.
With temperatures so high I think a morning walk is a good idea.
Loved seeing your photographs.
All the best Jan
Oh I love your photos and yes........I take a late afternoon walk with my dog, and then I build a fire on the patio before sundown and my husband and I sit out and listen to the coyotes and other night sounds. We did not have much of a winter as well......however, we keep getting cold front after cold front......three nights ago, it was 38 degrees and the next day in the 60s......we are usually hitting 100s by now. But I love cold fronts!
Your pictures are fabulous. We had a perfect spring day, but I know humidity is just around the corner. So glad you're walking with us!
Oh, yes...we love to watch the sunset.
Your pond photos are unique! I've heard from family in Florida that it seems as if summer has already arrived. I remember the sunsets in FL were often gorgeous. We get some beautiful ones here on our hill also. We never get tired of a beautiful sunset, do we? God's paintbrush at work.
This is lovely, Diane. I try to take an everying stroll to see the sunset whenever possible, especially since two streets from my home you can see it setting over the sea and it is stunning and unique every single day.

Oh so beautiful. I try to walk early mornings but I like the long days because I can walk in the evening too (or instead if I miss mornings)... it hasn't been too hot after the sun goes down. I never ever feel like we have winter and spring, the way we used to in Oregon. I'm glad about missed g winter, but a little sad about missing spring. I think it must be cooler in your part of Florida...you seem to have more of the flowers we don't see. Like roses.
I love the ibis. The pond looks wonderful, too.
