We have a lot of nice homes here in Florida with decorative fences. But here in North Central Florida we also have horse farms and cow pastures.
This is the street I take between the library and Lowe's (and grocery stores, Farmer's Mkt and Sholom Park) It's a nice 4 lane road and the traffic is usually light.
I got out and walked on the sidewalk to get most of these photos.
YIKES...was that a log truck that just barreled past?!!
But of course once I was back in my car, I saw the herd of cows!
And rolled my window down and took these. (I looked in my rear view mirror first to make sure no one was coming! lol)
The huge trees are Live Oak trees and they grace the pastures in this area, in yards and on the Golf Courses.
It was a cloudy day when I took these and I'm happy to say the clouds finally gave us a little rain yesterday! We NEEDED it!
I'm thankful for the beauty that surrounds us and for RAIN!
How's your weather?

It's so beautiful ..I love it ..such a beautiful day
Here it is super cold and windy.
Happy hugs x
Diane, On our morning news it looked as if many places in Florida got too much rain. I hope it can spread out and be just right for all of the state. Seeing herds of cattle just doesn't seem like Florida for us northerners. :):) There's a huge semi down road, back in the lane that goes to some woods...they are logging it..it is changing my view toward town. Hope they leave some trees. Your big truck load of wood picture made me tell that. LOL. Blessings to you sweet friend, xoxo, Susie
Our weather is delightful right now , cool mornings and low humidity which is unusual here in June! Loved your pictures! And yes we have lots of log trucks here as well! They can be a menace!
Hello, Florida does have some beautiful farm land, horse farms and cattle. Great fence shots, I am glad you had some much needed rain.
Happy Thursday, enjoy your day and weekend ahead!
I love to see cows! They are so peaceful.
I don't like to see logging trucks. Makes me sad for the trees and us too.
Well its raining here too, Its really interesting to see this part of Florida, quite a bit different to the Florida I have visited.
Take care, Gordon.
We have the greatest clouds, don't we.
Lovely to see your photographs, it looks nice and green.
Our weather has not been at all summer like these past few days ... I'm hoping it will soon change!
All the best Jan
Florida really is dry now, isn't it? Amazing how different areas have drought at different times... Last Fall was our turn... BUT--we've gotten quite a bit of rain lately ---YEAH!!!
I enjoy driving through some of Central Florida when we head south to visit George's son and wife near Tampa... We always drive on the back roads ---so we enjoy seeing the farms especially the horse ranches down there near Ocala.
Hugs,
Betsy
I think Florida is much more varied than people think xo Laura
Weather cool right now--very unusual, but the heat will be back this weekend. Meanwhile we are loving today. I do like driving past the horse farms in central Florida. The fences are so pretty (not the barb wire ones. :-)
So glad you received your much needed rain, Diane. We are having the most glorious weather today. Only 70 degrees and bright sunshine with a few puffy clouds. Your photos are interesting. When I think of Florida I don't always think of cows being there, but of course they are. Have a nice afternoon. ♥
Thank you for visiting me again, Diane. It's been hard getting back into blogging after being away for so long. Thank you for taking the time to visit me and comment. Means more than you know.
I love all your pictures...I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing animals and pictures of land. Something about nature that brings me peace.
Bless you friend. <3
I think I'd feel right at home in the midst of all that lush Florida pastureland with oak trees and cows!
Great photos, Diane!
Hugs!
very good pictures and you know how I LOVE THE BACK ROADS OF FLORIDA! gosh, yes, we've had alot of rain here. Our gardens are loving it!!! Its all growing so FAST!!
Pretty and peaceful photos. So thankful you received rain. We are receiving a little rain each day.
Beautiful scenes in your area. We are having unusually cool temps right now. They won't last! Thanks for linking up today!
Lots of rain for us this week and we sure did need it! Lovely photos. I always enjoy driving through your area of the state.
Diane, our weather has been mild here too. Love all your photos especially the big oak tree and the one of the spotted cows. Cows look like such content creatures.
Our weather is just beautiful at the moment- ows in the 60s and highs in low 80s- cannot beat that with a stick for early summer. Humidity is what low too and that makes it wonderful. I'm glad y'all finally got some rain.
Good fence shots.
You do have a lot of beauty in your area. I like those rural fences and beautiful skies!
Wow - lots of clouds - glad you got some rain too. I love your log truck - in N. California that load would be about 3 or 4 gigantic logs, taking up the entire truck. I miss the live oaks - they don't grow in this part of Washington - another thing I miss from California. Your fences are interesting and what great colors on the cattle. Hope your upcoming weekend is full of fun and photos my dear.
It's been beautiful here. That's quite a load of logs!
First thanks for your lovely visit to my blog... your landscape looks fresh and green. Nice fences and pasture along the highways. Glad you decided to stop and look around for the beautiful view
Lovely fence photos! I enjoy seeing the cows, too
Have a great week-end!
You do have a lot of beauty surrounding you! I'm thankful for some sun, right now - we've had lots of rain!
You live in a beautiful country. Love the green, green fields and cows grazing on the grass. Have a nice weekend!
Beautiful territory in your part of the world!
Lovely pictures, my friend. The sky in the first photo is quite breathtaking!
Happy weekend to you! Hugs!
More awesome photos. I once thought there was no "countryside" in Florida. Well, these photos prove that wrong, lol.
I love these kind of fences...
Thanks for showing us a little part of your world, it's always nice to see where people live.
Diana
Nice here but supposed to get hot and humid...soon...that I have a hard time with.
A little farther south of you in Central Florida, we are having another rainy day, but we aren't complaining because we need it so badly. Love the photos! We see cows when we go to our Sam's Club. Always fun!
Lovely fences and scenery. We have had SO much rain this spring, sure wish I could send you some!
Very pretty country, beautiful views. I look at fences now in a different light. Very Nice !!
I wish I had seen a lot of the log trucks. But all of our logs still is in the cutting areas. Not fun!
Nobode seem to care to clean up the areas :(
You live in a beautiful part of the state of Florida. Enjoyed the pictures of the cows. Glad you got some rain. Have a wonderful day!
Great fun catching up on posts I missed as we traveled and spent some time with our Colorado family. Thanks for keeping me updated on beautiful Florida, especially as we're now in arid Wyoming and longing to see some green....it's only an overnight stop tho, so I think I'll survive ;)
