Two Bugs and a Bird

We've had a few 'bug' sightings this week.

Isn't this green buggy thing beautiful against the pink rose?

Love the little stripes on his legs.

And this huge locust was on the garage screen. Doesn't he look 'prehistoric'? (we have screens on our garage that you pull across so that you can leave the garage door open and 'air' out your garage when you park a hot car inside)

This big bird landed in the tall dead pine tree behind our house and we grabbed the camera to see what it was!

A Mockingbird! Maybe looking for those bugs to eat!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Hello, the pink rose is beautiful. Your Mockingbird will have plenty of bigs to eat. Great photos. Thank you so much for linking up today, sorry if there was trouble with the linky. I am working on a new theme and linky. Happy Saturday, enjoy your weekend!

That's a grasshopper and I was thinking his/her legs looked like my self-striping socks! LOL! Yes, prehistoric is a good name for those cicadas and I have never seen a mocking bird or is I did I didn't know what it was. We have nightingales(?) here that sing when it's dark out....I think that's the only bird that sings at night? I really like it.

Diane, I love the mockingbird. They sing the sweetest. No on those bugs...I take photos too...those striped legs are for jumping so look out. Cicadas are the creepiest things. I get the heebee-geebees looking at them. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

I'll just bet the birds are loving those bugs. It's good to see that things are getting back to normal in Florida.
Have a lovely weekend.

With the temps in the 90s last week we saw a lot of wasps. Now in the 70s and do not see any.

How wonderful to see the detail on your bugs although I'm happy that locust is on the other side of the computer - I'm not sure I'd be that good with meeting one, or a swarm face to face!

LOL- I am glad someone can see the beauty in 'bugs'...but it most likely won't be me! lol However, I DO love looking at the bird(s). I had a stink bug land on me outside the other day and about had a heart attack. lol

Hope you have a great upcoming week, Diane. xo Diana

ps. If you get a chance, pop over and say a little prayer for my SIL, Jason. He is having cancer surgery on Tuesday. Thx.

That is one huge grasshopper! I miss my Florida mockingbirds.... beautiful mums ...and the bread recipe make me just a little bit nostalgic....I baked my own bread back in the day .... seven loaves at a time every other week, can you believe it! But I stopped when I started working after the kids were all in school.

Oh, I always wondered what the Mockingbird looks like. I see a bird that looks similar to this at the trail. That really is a pretty picture of the green bug against the Pink rose. The pink rose is my second favorite rose. What a lovely picture this is, Diane.
