I had such fun at the White Elephant Sale and bought a bunch of junk good stuff!
And only things I really needed! lol
I mean....have you ever seen a lighthouse cookie cutter? And everyone knows I lived in Texas long enough to consider myself a Texan...so how about the cowboy hat and boot? I bought the hammer for my hubby! haha!
I don't listen to country music all the time but I love a little Johnny Cash, George Strait and Alan Jackson when I'm in the mood! ( may be a Texas thang?)
This necklace was only $1 and I didn't even realize until I got home...it's a locket!
A White Elephant Sale is a type of garage sale or community sale of 'used items'. Ours is held inside and close enough that I can walk to it. Lots of fun to mix and mingle with friends and neighbors and find some bargains too. I spent less than $20 on all my 'loot' and even got some Fiskar stamps, paper and pencils for my altered book projects.
We had beautiful skies over the weekend. How was your weather?
Did you have a fun weekend too?
I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE .

Love your sky shots
Our weather was beautiful although still HOT! Yes you definitely need a little Johnny Cash and George Strait. :)
Those are always fun sales, Diane. I actually have a lighthouse cookie cutter! lol We used to live on Lake MI and looked right down the shore to the lighthouse--so I made those cookies whenever I made cutouts. Now on the bay- we have a 5 mile "look see" across the water to see the lighthouse.
Hope you have a wonderful week- xo Diana
Hello, your did find some goodies. I like the cookie cutters. Your sky captures are beautiful. Lovely mosaic. Happy Monday and enjoy your new week ahead.
*giggles* I love the hammer cookie cutter. Everyone needs one!
Lots of fun finds and that necklace is lovely! I am a Texan by birth so love those cookie cutters! Its raining here so more working on getting rid of some stuff today. Hugs!
I like that locket...looks like it would make quite a statement.
Like your cookie cutters. I collect old ones with wooden handles. The most unusual one I have is an AX.
The sky pictures are wonderful.
That white elephant sale was a treasure trove of finds for you. When I was a child our church used to have "white elephant" sales.
Ohhh--like I said I would of loved to went to that--but then--I would of had to figure out what to do with my 'loot'!!???
I think I have those Alan Jackson cd's--or had them--think they are down loaded on her somewhere's now--and I love George Strait too and have one of his--but don't have that Johnny one-darn!!! That necklace is a great find--will you wear it or just display it????
enjoy the moments, di

What fun! I can't wait to see those hammer cookies!
Diane - I always love reading your posts for the humor! Wonderful! I love the cookie cutters and the locket - very unique. We are having a few "Indian summer" days for Montana - highs in the 50s and blue skies. Weather will turn Wednesday - rain and snow - so we are enjoying it while we can! Have your kidney stones resolved themselves? Have a great week!
Hi Diane,
You picked up some lovely treasures and always fun going home with something. Also loved seeing the beautiful sky and cloud photos.
Happy week
hugs
Carolyn
I love cookie cutters, Diane, and have a large tin filled with them. I loved baking shaped sugar cookies cookies with my children when they were young and now I have to begin doing the same with my grandchildren.
Do you believe we had our first snow today? It came early this year but it is supposed to go back to warmer weather by the end of the week
White elephant sales can be fun, but you might need to hand onto your purse for fear of buying too much! Have a fabulous week and thank you for stopping by my blog this week.
When I was a child our church would hold an annual Bring & Buy sale and there would always be a White Elephant table full of unloved items looking for a new home. Seems like you helped out quite a bit last weekend! The necklace/locket is so pretty.
Beautiful sky captures love the inclusion of the shot of the small plane.
Hope your week is going splendidly.
That sale would be so much fun! I love your butterfly locket. I attended an estate sale of a precious neighbor over the weekend and purchased 6 little butterfly pins myself! We had rain all weekend. I love your pretty sky pictures. Have a great day, Diane.
Wonderful skies....blue is beautiful! I've noticed since I started blogging that I am much more aware of the sky and cloud formations.
Happy Tuesday!
Ruby
Lovely mosaic of your purchases and of clouds. A cookie or vegetable shaped in cowboy hat, boot, or hammer would please not only children but also adults. In my part of the world, season is progressing very slowly. Today it was unusually hot with the highest 30 degrees C (86F), the record hottest October.

I definitely would have gone for the cookie cutters! Looks loads of fun!
What fun! I like that locket. Isn't it fun to come across things you didn't realize existed but are CHEAP and FUN! :-)) Hope you have a lovely day. We woke to 31 degrees and sunny today. The frost is still thick on the ground, and when it melts I'll go out and uncover my sweet Dragon Wing begonias. I'm hoping to keep them a bit longer. They're my favorites!
Thanks for explaining the White Elephant sale. It sounds like a lot of fun! I did not know that you were from Texas. I guess I have not been following you that long. Good to know.
Amazing sky pictures! And so fun to find fun treasures at the White Elephant sale! Our weather has been lovely fall weather, really enjoying the cool days :)
What fun! Love those cookie cutters. Beautiful locket. Well done!
Looks a great sale ... fun and good buys too!
Love those skies.
All the best Jan
Diane, That's some good junk. I love looking at sales and such. Love that locket. I wish the jewelry companies would make more lockets. Blessings to you. Now bake some of those hammer cookies. LOL. xoxo, Susie
Your sky shots are amazing! And you always find the best stuff...love that vintage locket! And I like a bit of Johnny Cash myself! Hugs!

Diane, what sweet treasures you found! LOVE that necklace/locket. CDs are always fun to snag. Good job!
I didn't realize you lived in Texas before. I thought you were a native of Florida. hmmmmm, learned something today. There's a few songs that Johnny Cash sings that I like, and glad you found one of his CD's. That necklace is unique. These are pretty sky pictures. No clouds here, just getting cooler with the leaves falling every day. : )
love, ~Sheri
I wished we had one in our neighborhood. I love the locket, so pretty.
Well I would have loved to be with you....I enjoy going with two of my sisters to estate sales....there is always something that I can't live without.
I had an amazing weekend. Both of my daughters were here....one lives way over in NC.....and of course they brought my little granddaughters who are 3 and 5. The house is way too quiet today though since they all left last night 😟
Hi Diane, that sale sounds like fun. We have one every year at our church and I sometimes find some nice things.
The weather is so beautiful here and warm. I'm not complaining as in Nov. & Dec. it will be cold. I do love the warm weather. I hope all is well with you. Take care.
Julie
Oh you found some great stuff my friend, and I do love Johnny Cash!! We've just got back from vacation, and I've been unpacking and laundry and am hoping to get around to everybody's blogs in the next day and catch up, just wanted to say hi and see how y'all are doing! I like the sky pictures too
yes! lot's of fun stuff!
Nice to be able to walk there. glad you had a great time:)
Oh I love that necklace, that was a good buy for $1
I'm in the mood to go treasure shopping
Such wonderful finds, especially the necklace, and bargains, I think. Loved the hawk photos in your last post.
Great finds and bargains! That necklace is beautiful as are the pics of your lovely weather. Boo Hoo -- I want to go back to the Island. It's been raining, cold and windy and gray here. Sniff Sniff.
I love that necklace and those cookie cutters are adorable. We have gotten some much needed rain. xo Laura
You are so much fun, I like your take on life! Your new items look like a whole lot of fun stuff. That necklace looks like it might have come from 'The Cracker Barrell' which often tempts me with their corner of reduced stuff. hugs, maggie ann also known as k.
The cookie cutters are great and I love the necklace, too. Nothing like some 'classic' music to put a smile on your face. Love those big, fluffy clouds. Hope your weekend is lovely. xx K
