We drove over to the beach with our picnic and snacks (and water)packed in the ice chest to spend the day!
And it was gorgeous! Perfect weather….80s with a light breeze, nice and cool blowing off the ocean.
We walked and walked, picking up pretty shells. (I’ll show you those later) We don’t carry a camera on the beach for obvious reasons. (we usually get WET! lol)
But hubby had his phone with him and snapped off a few pics to share. He’s been enjoying your sweet comments on his photos. (me too!)
These are Willets
and these are Sanderlings.
That’s our best shore bird ID guess!
I stood on the boardwalk and took these of a pretty seagull that flew over and then landed nearby.
I know I was ‘leaning’ looking up!
He was so nice to stop and pose for me!
He looked rather comical.
Maybe showing off for the camera?

i love to watch all of these sea birds running to and fro and wading/fishing/soaring.. the peace just flows from the water and sunshine and the noise the gulls make is peaceful to me also.. that gull is really showing off for the camera

I think he WAS posing for you. I took a stroll on the beach this week as well. The Canaveral area is so pretty!!! Definitely one of the best things about Florida. The photos are great.
Wonderful shots of the birds on the beach. I enjoy the ocean, but haven't been in a couple of years. I think I need to plan a trip.

Love all those beach photos--can't believe I live this close to the beach and can't get there very often--my friend and I almost went to day--until we looked at how rough the river was and how hard the wind was blowing --and decided it was not a great beach day-

Yep. Sanderlings and Willets. And if I'm not mistaken, a Ring-billed Gull. Shame you didn't see the owl but keep trying.

I saw a seagull flying over the house the other day. It was amazing. It means the lakes are thawing!

You had great temperatures to be at the shore today. I walked across the street to visit my neighbor who has returned from spending winter in Florida. She is not happy with our weather here. It has snowed three times since she came home. "Be patient," I told her. Hot weather will be here before we know it. Enjoy your weather!
