I’ve been busy!

Making cards…

cardDSCN4873

and buying pretties to make ‘more’ cards.

04Apr-001

I try my best to use what I have but then I look at Etsy and see all of the ‘pretties’ that other people make. Don’t you love the tags and card making ephemera that Kristy makes for her Etsy shop HERE?

DSCN4871

I bought these and they are even prettier in person and so well packaged….oh and reasonably priced too!

04Apr-002

Tags and card are fun to make because they are quick and easy. And nice to have on hand to give to neighbors and friends.

Have you done any crafting lately?

I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE

and Cooking and Crafting with J & J.

They are so pretty. I envy the lucky people to receive one of your beautiful cards. I am trying to get back into my sewing. I have a boho lap quilt that I need to finish.

We've both been crafting this week making pretty things, I love finding even more things in common with my mosaic makers every Monday! Your cards and tags are wonderful, those tag ribbons are luscious, what do you use to make them?
Happy MM.

I love playing with paper and have started a junk journal. Mostly I've been "yarning" --- crochet and knit. It is almost summer and my hibernation time so I've loaded up the yarn supply! Have a fun-filled week!

You have been busy and these are so lovely. I want to get some crafting done, but right now I am knee deep in gardening. Our weather has chanced and the skies are blue and the temperatures are lovely for working outside :)
Have a sweet week.

Not much crafting going on here, but there are PLANS! Your cards are sweet. It must be so satisfying to create your own and have them on hand for just the right person.

I love getting homemade cards...these are darling! I used to do some rubber stamping and just happened to come across my stamps the other day. Have been working on putting together a hand-tied quilt using a vintage quilt top that I purchased and backing it with a lovely sheet from the thrift store I found. Not getting a lot done...pretty much a rainy day project now that the weather is beautiful! Have a great week, Diane...hugs!

Your cards are so pretty. I'm not doing a lot of crafting these days, but I hope to get back to it one day. I did do a little sewing recently and that felt good.

Your work is lovely. I haven't done any crafting for years. I still needlepoint, but that's it. Love seeing what you create.

Your cards are so very sweet, I love all the pretties you find to use on them. I have been between projects lately - and looking around for something to do. I have the major pieces of the crazy quilt pinned together to make about a queen size quilt and have to jump in and hand stitch those pinned areas and then embellish and I've just not gotten started on it. So I started to crochet covers for beer bottle caps (and Mexican Soda caps) using purple variegated thread - I'll hand stitch them together in the form of a bunch of grapes - crochet some green leaves and make bottle cap trivets. It is fun and quick - and useful. We went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant last weekend and I asked if they had any bottle caps and they gave me a nice bag full of them - I could make dozens of trivets - though I doubt I will make that many. They said to come back after Cinco de Mayo if I wanted more - but I think I have plenty. Happy week ahead to you my dear friend. Our son is here from WV for a few days - Amazon flew him out here to receive an award from the company for some inovations he has made (he'll shuttle down to Seattle on Wednesday for the ceremony) and we are having a grand time. Hugs.

Diane my friend you make so many pretty things!!---the books, tags, cards, your pretty collages for your blog. I do so enjoy them all! You are very creative. Not many handmake their cards anymore that is for sure. I am one of the few I guess, as I make most of my own mother's day cards and valentines, (and some birthday cards) I enjoy sitting down and making them--I use lots of pictures in mine, bits and bobs of lace, ribbon, that pretty tape, all kinds of applique things, just whatever I can find or have saved. Yours are very very pretty and anyone would be happy to receive one of your pretty creations! I loved seeing the close up of the dragonfly in your previous post, very interesting!! And the post before that....oh my goodness, your ROSES ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! I forget if it said??---how many do you have now? I just loved seeing them. Do you do anything special to take care of them?

What a wonderful hobby this is. I love the first one with the sweet doll. Your friend's tags are pretty too. Jess makes tags sometimes and uses them for gifts. Keep creating, Diane. It's such a talent. You're inspiring me to work on a craft project. : )
