This is aptly named don’t you think?
It was in full bloom at Sholom Park and I had fun photographing it.
I walked and marveled at the beauty of this park.
There’s always something in bloom!
You can see the bushes in bloom on the left!
It’s right around the corner from the Lipstick Plant!
I’m joining Mosaic Monday HERE

Truely Beautiful. I am hoping to get in a walks to day Diane.
The names describe the plants perfectly and they both add much interest to you walks through Shalom Park I’ m sure.
Happy MM!
My favorite thing about bottle bushes, are that they're such a great bee and flutterby collector (besides being beautiful)
Diane, It sure is pretty in your park. I bet the lipstick plant would lure hummingbirds. Love walking thru the park with you. :):) Blessings for a great new week. xoxo, Susie
p.s. Our Emma will be 14 this week.
Those trees are so pretty. There are several at our church. Hummingbirds hang out around them.
Dearest Diane; Oh, I remember I have heard about this flower before and I thought "aptly named" as well. Thank you for the words "aptly" (*^.^*) Sholom Park must be wonderful to stroll around; never heard of Lipstick Plant, another "aptly named" one, isn't it♡♡♡
Sending Lots of Love and Hugs from Japan to my Dear friend, xoxo Miyako*
You sure do get to see some beautiful sites on your walks! Have a great day!

Sholom Park is gorgeous! What a great place for a walk. My bottle brush hasn't bloomed yet. I think it having a hard time deciding what the season is ... spring or summer or winter or what!!!!! The lipstick plant is just fun! Happy Monday!
You are surrounded by such beauty! Love your walks and photos! Hugs!!!
Big sigh! Gorgeous park!
The bottlebrush tree has always fascinated me. Maybe because it's a vibrant red. I have this seen this tree here, and it is very unique and lovely. Your park looks very peaceful at Springtime.
Have a wonderful week, Diane.
love, ~Sheri
I don't think I have ever seen a bottle-brush tree. Your photos of it are beautiful! What a gorgeous park too! Have a great week, Diane!
The Bottle brush plant is just incredible. The color deep and rich! WOW!! Your photos are all wonderful! Thank you!
It looks so pretty at that park and the walks must be so much fun. The bottle brush tree is so pretty and I love the color and it does remind me of a bottle brush. LOL.
Hope you have a nice week.
Julie
Thanks,I so enjoy your trips.
Absolutely lovely!!
Beautiful red pants, Diane! I think the bottlebush plants need warmer weather than we usually have to flourish, but I've seen the lipstick plant growing here. Love their descriptive names!
Sometimes I wonder what folks were thinking when they named a plant, but with the bottlebrush, I think they got it right ... such a vibrant color!
Now, the lipstick plant is a new one ... and I can see how it got its name ... pucker up!
Lovely blooms in your area, Diane. We're waiting and waiting for our Spring to come and stop teasing us! Have a nice week. ♥
I wonder if the bottle brush is stiff enough to use it as its namesake? It's very striking. I love seeing all the ponds and lakes and plants from Florida here - so different than what we have. The world is a fascinating place.
What a beautiful walk! Perfect names for these plants. Thanks for sharing thise great photos.
It really does look like a bottle brush!!!
Bottlebrush Tree blooms in June almost at the same time with Hydrangeas in my part of the world. Its blooms tell the warm weather to me. Looks like you enjoyed a leisurely walk in the sunshine. The reflections are fantastic. Have a nice week.

Another GORGEOUS florida park, love it! I think those bottlebrush trees are so neat---ours are not blooming yet and i think they are a little late this year, but not sure. You are ahead of us. Hope you had a real nice weekend! I'ts been gloomy and rainy here for a couple of days. And very chilly for us, used to much warmer this time of year.
Gorgeous! Thank you for sharing! Have a lovely week!

this park is magnificent my friend! and you captured it amazingly
awww beautiful images!! one did not need to be too clever to name these!!
it looks like a pretty park!!
That is beautiful and yes what a great name for it.
such wonderful names for such lovely blossoms!
I love bottlebrush trees and we have lots, too!
I didn't know that there was such a bush. The bottlebrush bush is lovely. You are so fortunate to live where beauty abounds. My daffodils have been covered with snow 4 times this spring and they still are blooming. Yeah!
I love both those trees and your pictures are perfect.... the bottlebrush is grown as a houseplant in Oregon by people who are very good at indoor gardening (not me) and I was so surprised to see it as a huge tree when we first came to Florida.
Preciosas fotografías de la naturaleza y la primavera!!
Beautiful blooms and colour.
The park is stunning - I would love to have a walk there!
All the best Jan
