Let’s take a quick drive to the Reddick Public Library!

This one was easy to find!

Someone had the right idea painting ‘Library’ in large blue letters on the front of the building. I could see it from the highway!

And how about this parking lot? Huge Live Oak trees to park under in the shade!

The librarian gave me some bookmarks too. One of them has the hours of all the libraries which is helpful.

I’m reading the new Laurie R. King mystery, Island of the Mad. It’s the Mary Russell and Sherlock Holmes series and OH SO GOOD! I’m trying not to zip through it too fast! I love this author and I’ve looked forward to this latest book in the series. I checked it out from the library as an ebook and I’m reading it on my iPad.

What are you reading this week?

I’m thankful for Public Libraries and Summertime!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

Diane, I finished a really cute mastery called Crime and Punctuation. I cannot remember the author but it was about a 68 year old former English teacher who purchases her childhood home, renovates it while running a book editing business. Set in the Catskills it met my interests on several levels.

Diane, Did you join the summer book club? That is what my daughters joined every summer. Well while in grade school. They worked summers in H.S. I love the oak trees to park under for shade. I have read books that I do not want to rush thru. Hope you enjoy yours. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

That is a cute library. When I was young I spent a lot of days at the library. I still go every now and than to a small one in a nearby town. Nothing better than holding a real book in your hands to read. I still buy books when I can.

I'm thankful for the rain we're getting today to feed our thirsty gardens and hay fields.

I like Laurie King's books (Mary Russell) but I need to catch up on a few!

Love to read and love the libraries. As a kit my siblings and I read all (or so we say) the books in the small library near us. We had to branch (pun intended) our as it were

I have not been to our library to take out books since last summer. I just finished reading The Joy Luck Club and love it!!! I am now starting to read Crazy Rich Asians. They are going to make this book into a movie.
Have a nice day and thanks for your lovely visit to my blog!

That parking lot at the library is lovely.
I'm just about finished with the 5th book in the Outlander series. Hope to finish it tonight or tomorrow.

When I first read your title I thought it said "redneck library". Ha!
It does look like a charming library and those live oaks in the parking lot are ideal for providing shade on your car.
I just finished a wonderful book today. It's called The Day The World Came To Town 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland.

Smiles on so many levels... beautiful ‘old Florida’ location, sharing again the library love, And, not least, suggestion of a new book series that sounds right up my alley! Thanks!

That IS a fun sign on the building and don't we all look for a shady parking space here in Florida!! I am reading a Patricia Cornwall Kay Scarpetta mystery. It's been awhile since I read one of them.

Wow! Beautiful trees!
I love libraries! I am a member of two book clubs. In one we are reading 'The Best Cook in the World' by Rick Bragg. In the other we are reading 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn' by Betty Smith. I regularly visit libraries in two nearby towns and meet a bookmobile that comes to my community twice a month.
