Quilts of Valor

What a joy to attend the Open House hosted by our local Quilt Club and see the presentation of quilts to worthy Veterans in our community.

Quilts of Valor

My photos don’t do justice to the beauty of these quilts.

I’ve always loved the red white and blue patriotic quilts.

And these are all made by the members and given to our veterans.

It was a moving presentation and an honor to thank these brave men.

Wow!---now THAT'S A QUILT CLUB that does something wonderful! So glad you made these pictures so we could see this. Those quilts are amazing and to think of all the hours put into them........ I've never quilted but both my grandmas did and the quilts I inherited are so so so precious to me. Nothing like a good quilt, that is for sure. Looks like a real fun gathering too. Hope your 4th was wonderful. Ours was hot hot hot. Ha ha but we had real good food and we saw pretty fireworks.

Beautiful quilts and what a wonderful program. Quilting is something I've never done. I tried once and failed miserably. One day I may try again.

I love this art work, a favorite to visit when I attend a fair.I don't know how at all, but donated lots of material, frames and a long arm machine when a neighbor passed.I occasionally tease the ladies that I am in their club.

Such charming quilts. I love the one in the fourth picture, bottom left. That one is really nice. The picture of the men covering themselves with the quilts is a treasure.
