How about this Southern Leopard Frog!
I photographed 3 of them but there were others I could hear but not see.
They had a deep throated ‘croak’!
Not really a ribbett at all! lol
They were very colorful and had leopard markings on their legs.
Something neat to see at Sholom Park this week!
And since I need to get a bird photo in here…
how about these Common Moorhens?
What was not common about these were the little baby Moorhen swimming along with them.
I had to crop the photo to really get a good look.
Babies are SO sweet! The Moorhens were at Blue Run Park in Dunnellon with all the turtles.
I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE
and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

Great photos this morning of all the critters! Have a lovely day.
Diane, I loved the photos. So many fun creatures of nature. I will say...I would never want to get in that water myself. LOL. Glad you are still hiking sweet girl. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Is that Kermit D Frog by chance? Great photos.
Great nature photos!
Your photo's are so alive, I feel like I am with you looking in the pond.
Thanks!
those frogs are gorgeous!!! Great photos, all around!
Great series of photographs Diane.
Love the frog!
Hope you have a good weekend.
My good wishes
All the best Jan
...your frogs are GREAT, they often are too fast for me.
I can't say I am much of a frog fan--but turtles are certainly interesting animals---I can see some Moorhens in a swamp area that is fenced in down the street--but they are hard to get photos of cause of the fencing and weeds--but I have seen some babies and they are soooo cute!!!
enjoy,di
Those froggies stuck around. I'm used to only HEARing them
Awesome photos of the frogs. Much more handsome the any of the ones I've ever seen
You have to be ready with that camera of yours! I miss most of the shots I attempt to get, including one of a frog velcroed to my patio door in a rainstorm. The water is looking pretty fuzzy and green...great camouflage for frogs.
NICE shots of the frogs!!
Great photos and I am ALWAYS blown away that you know the names of all the birds, animals, and amphibians!
Your frog photos are fantastic! Such a sweet baby swimming with his mom. Enjoyed reading your post tonight.
I can almost hear the frogs from here! (lol) Sweet! And the Gallinule...excellent sighting. I so enjoyed your post, with my thanks for joining us at I'd Rather B Birdin' this week!
Such a pretty frog! And I love the moorhen shots, too. Great photos!
You really have so many interesting critters in Florida and I'm so glad you are sharing them so often here. That frog is pretty, as far as frogs go anyway.
Love your pictures! I feel that I had a chance to visit Florida without leaving my living room. Thanks!
Hey sweet girlfriend! There's an old song that goes "Abra Ca Dabra--gonna reach out AND GRAB YA!!" That's what these frog pictures remind me of, ha ha LOL--so close, like it could just jump up and grab ya. LOL Who sang that anyway!!!???---Steve Miller Band maybe? I think in all my years of making pictures, not sure I've photographed any frogs, maybe some at the aquarium, but not in the wild. Your pictures are great, so close and so colorful. Our youngest daughter always has liked frogs, turtles, snakes, lizards and especially GATORS. It took me a long while to come around to the gators.....but I eventually did and now I do so enjoy going out and looking at them and making pictures of them. The frog pictues remind me of another song I sang alot in my childhood, "Froggie went a Courtin". Do you know that song? "Froggie went a courtin and he did ride, uh huh, froggie went a courtin and he did ride, uh huh. Froggie went a courtin and he did ride, WITH MISS MOUSIE BY HIS SIDE....... uh huh uh huh, uh HUH!!" ha ha ha LOL
Wow. You found a lot of critters. Fun ones. Great photos.
Wonderful photos of the handsome frog and mother and baby morrhens!
Happy Day to you,

Oh my gosh, these frog pictures are so cool. You got some good close-ups of them. Very nice. Southern Leopard Frog, hmmmmn, interesting. I always learn a thing or two when I come over and visit. : )

Lovely to see the baby moorhens and as you say baby critters are so sweet!
awesome captures, i LOVED the frogs!!!
I don't even like it that the grown-up Moorhens are called 'common' because I still think they're pretty special! And to get a decent picture of the baby is wonderful. Yay for you. And I love the frogs.
It has been hotter here in Eugene Oregon than in Fort Myers this past week. if it were not for the fact that they are having a big problem with red-algae in the canals, I am pretty sure my husband would leave me and head back to our Canal Cottage (lol).
