We see a lot of small planes flying in this area which is very cool.
(a cropped photo to begin!)
And one day when we drove past the Airport, we saw this Biplane getting ready to taxi down the runway!
(the local airport)
Hubby pulled over across the street and I jumped out with my camera!
TAKE OFF!!!
Here it COMES!!!
And right over my head it flew!
Such a beautiful sky!
And a neat sight to see.
I’m thankful for anything vintage that’s stood the test of time.
Aren’t you?
I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.
My sweet hubby researched and found the information on this exact airplane. It’s a 1941 Boeing A75N1(PT17). Thanks honey!

I love that picture and that your sweet hubby understands the need to photograph. Marvin now asks me, "Is that going on your blog?" He gets it.lol
Yes, I love vintage anything and this plane is so cool! I remember when my oldest son got to fly in one when he was just a little guy. Great photo op!
bi planes are my favorites and you got beautiful shots of this one...
You captured a great shot of the airplane, and the sky is so beautiful.
Great pictures, great fun, great husband!
What a beautiful airplane, Diane. I'm sure you both enjoyed seeing it. My Daddy loved planes and flying so much. We spent most of our Sunday afternoons visiting small local airports. This reminds me of him. Thank you. ♥
Great photo! I'm vintage and have stood the test of time too! LOL!
These are cool pictures, Diane. It's hard to get a good photo when something is in motion, but these turned out nice. Love that close up! Those clouds are so pretty too. : )

Awesome!!
Diane, You know I would love a ride in that beautiful plane. Great pictures too. I also love the big white clouds. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Yes, I love vintage things. What I don't like is the fact that vintage things were new things back when I was growing up...lol
The planes always remind me of mg dad. He lived to fly and got his pilots license after he retired and bought himself a small plane.
Oh, I would love to go flying in an old Bi-plane. My mother flew in one when she was young at one of those one fashioned barn stormer meets.
...neat, now all you need is a wing walker! 😀
You got some great shots of the vintage airplane!!
Diane, what great pictures! That is one beautiful airplane. Not sure I'd want to ride in it but it is fun to watch!
Awesome! What a lovely thing to see!
MERCY!!! You got some great shots of that swooping thing!! LOL Try as I might, my plane pictures turn out a mess, a big blue, or I even miss the plane entirely!!---ha ha ha LOL-it's just a good thing I'm not the pilot! ha ha LOL (our son IS A PILOT!) Anyway--fun pictures here! that is one cool old plane, do you know the year?
Oh Diane I just saw where you commented on my post--LOL, so funny!!---you and I picked the exact same things pretty much in the gift shop. I swear, we are so much alike!! Dont worry---all the things in the pictures are FREE FREE FREE, in the bonafide-bargain pick-a-picture clearance "front porch" sale!! ha ha LOL Hugs, my friend!! Happy friday
Those are really fun -- and terrific images too!
Great pics of the vintage 1941 Boeing plane. The sky shots are so pretty, too. Happy Thursday!
I love it, Diane. Those are really great pictures and I love the old bi-planes. Would you believe that my son and grandson are at the EAA thing in Oshkosh, WI right now? It it is the biggest fly-in air show in the country, I think. You can google it -but Ryan has been on many of the old planes. He was a vendor there two years ago and so got to see a lot of the stuff up close. It is quite amazing. xo Diana
That would be cool to look up and see that plane flying past...
My husband would just love this!
ooooops, it says the year of the plane right there. Missed that the first time. LOL
Wow!
This is special.
Great post.
All the best Jan
