I wanted to share a few favorites that I’m thankful for this week.
These are my favorite kitchen dishcloths and I love this cute design, don’t you?
Wet-it Swedish dishcloths HERE !
And for dish towels, I like the Clorox brand that you can buy in any ‘big store’.
The dishcloths and towels both work well when you bleach them about once a month. (I put them all together in the washer and soak them in bleach for about an hour, rinse and then wash them with detergent)
I also bought something this week that I’m trying to learn to use again. An old fashioned brush with natural bristles. Remember when we brushed our hair 100 strokes at night to bring out the natural shine? I thought I would try that again. I’ve used a round brush to blow dry and style my hair for the past several years.
And I just have to mention these magazines. When I went online, it says ‘Retirement redefined’ at the top of the page. There are so many wonderful articles and you can read them online HERE.
I’ve kept a couple of issues because I love the covers and so many of the articles inside.
Do you have a list of ‘favorite things’ to share this week?
I’m joining Thankful Thursdays.

Enjoyed seeing the things you are thankful and hope you have a blessed day. I listed some of the things I am thankful for, on my blog this morning, but of course there are many more.
we get that magazine here as well, some great articles in it. That hairbrush does bring back memories, my hair was very long back then,, I have never seen the dishcloth brands before,, very interesting! Thanks for showing us this today!
This is fun, Diane! I'm glad to read your tips for cleaning the cleaning cloths and dish towels. Ours always manage to have an underlying smell that I can't get rid of. I'll be soaking them in bleach now.
The magazine looks super interesting. I'm going to look online.
Today I'm thankful because my favorite person - my husband - is 60!!♥
Love your picks. I am forever needing to get stains out of my dishcloths. The hubby uses them in ways I would never use them, but I love for him to cook...hmmm.
I am going to check out the Clorox ones. The others sound interesting too. I will look into them.
Keep us posted on how you like the hairbrush. I was literally thinking about that just the other day.
The magazines look interesting too.
Fun post!
Diane, I mentioned you on a comment this morning to Debbi, of Debbi's Front Porch. :) I see an article about hikes on the cover of one of your magazines. Thank for the info on the towels. I had never heard of the Clorox towels. I am afraid if I started brushing my hair I'd be bald. It is so thin any more. Wearing it pulled or clipped back , probably doesn't help. Hope you are having some great days there. It's nice in the morning here. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
I am glad to see I have a fellow Wet It fan!! My friend gave me one of the bigger ones...about 8 by 10 and I thought, What am I going to do with this? Well my washing machine was leaking one morning and that little sponge helped me get up a LOT of water. A great thing to have on hand for emergencies. BTW, my wet it has a Queen Bee on it!
Thanks for the tips, some things I didn't know about.
I am thinking about thankful Thursday? I am
Sure I have many many things to be thankful for.
Hello, I like your tips and thankful things. I will look for the Clorox brand towels and the wet-it cloths. Thanks for sharing the link to the articles.
I love retirement, best thing I ever did. Enjoy your day and weekend!
It is always fun to learn about new products and things that others use and like. Hugs!!
I am going to look for those dish towels. Thanks for mentioning them. (I tried the natural bristle brush a year or so ago. I’ll be interested to know what you think.)
I've never seen those Clorox dish towels, but I like the fact that you can wash them in Clorox cause they're white. Do you know that I've had an old fashioned bristle brush since my teen years hehehe. Some things never change. They are really the best though. You always find fun goodies when out and about, Diane. : )

You gifted me with those wash clothes and I love them! We have been using them ever since!
...I'm good ay making a mess, the cleanup I'm a bit weak on.
I have not seen towels like these, they look good to me.. much better than using paper towels as they can be refused over and over. let us know if the brushing helps. I recently thought about looking for a brush because my hair is dry and dryer every day... of course it is gray and old so brushing might not help
Love the dish towels! Thanks for stopping by :)

Thanks for sharing your favorites, Diane. I'm not familiar with the dish towels. It's nice you can bleach them. Also the magazine looks interesting. I use a Marilyn natural bristle brush (round). It's called a Marilyn because of the hour glass shape--lol. ♥
I like the nautical theme on the washcloth.
I have not seen that magazine but I will be looking for it now!
Dish cloths are something I use all the time. The younger generation not so much. Amber doesn't use one at all. I can't figure it out. No sponge either. I guess she uses paper towels. We bought some to keep over there when we visit because neither one of us can wrok in a kitchen without a 'dish rag.' That's what I call them!!
What a fun post! I have never heard of those cloths or towels. I will have to look for them. And now I want to pop on over and take a look at that magazine. Have a good night!
I'm not familiar with that magazine but will look it up. Thanks! I bleach my dishtowels too. Thanks for sharing your favorite things! I linked my Thankful Thursday post to Rebecca Jo's meme.
Those towels are news to me, too. And I use a natural bristle brush because my stylist said they are the healthiest brush to use, much fewer split ends and damage.
What a wonderful list of your favorite things, my friend. It was so, so, so good to visit you. I hope you are enjoying your summer and may you have a beautiful August. Hugs!
I love your sailing towel! And I've never seen those clorox ones. Those are nice -- I'll have to look for those.
I love this! A friend gave me a Swedish dishcloth with Dala horses (a symbol of Sweden) and I like it so much I put it on my bathroom wall. Years ago, I put up a series of posts about my favorite things. After reading this, I may do something like that again.
Thanks also for the link to the Swedish website. I signed up for their newsletter. Love it!
Thanks for the neat products and reviews!
OK - I will have to take a look at that mag - always looking for new ideas for the newly retired! My favorite thing to like this week is our visit with my niece, her husband and their child in Norway - having a blast! Enjoy your weekend!
I've no favorite list up yet but I am so enjoying yours! I've not heard of that magazine before but it looks sweet. Thank you for posting the link to it.
I haven't brushed my hair in years! No, it's not a mess. I just use a comb. :-)
Have a lovely Friday evening! xx
So many good ideas especially like the 'WetIt' -- you could be my personal shopper! We've had a mail forwarding service for years since back when we started full-time RVing and so let all our magazine subscriptions go as they were always late and not worth paying for them to be forwarded once a month. But I do read at least parts of several on line -- i'll look for the one you show! Covers look like they have some good stuff.
Nice to see a few of your favourite things!
Thanks for sharing.
All the best Jan
