Decorating!

When you can't go outside and play and you're tired of cleaning...

 DECORATE!

Because when the weather gets nice, I'll be on the trails!

I even drove over to Pruitt yesterday but it was too hot and too wet to do much. I saw some birds and butterflies and got a little nature fix. I took my afternoon snack and enjoyed a little commune with nature.

But back to decorating. We had rain over the weekend so I enjoyed puttering around the house.

The big "W" store has so many pretty Fall things this year but I already have lots of pretty things, so I just bought some new silk flowers.

I made 2 new arrangements. One for the display cabinet behind the sofa...

and one for the coffee table in the lanai.

My sweet friend, Danice sent me a card this week and it matched my flowers.

Another little wagon with pumpkins....

and a moth on the front glass door. (the real thing! lol)

Have you changed things up for the 'end of summer'?

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays .

I don't usually reply to comments but I just had to this time! I actually went back and undid some of the changes I had made. I have 2 boxes of Fall items and I put a few back in the box. For now...it just felt like too much...too soon. I still like my sunflower arrangements though! Thanks Tom for the 'right on' comment!

I just love your sunflower arrangement. The rain has been every day. I am ready for a break and just a bit of cooler in the morning. I am ready to putter in my flower gardens and go for long walks with Tucker and just by myself early.

Hello,

Your decorations are pretty. The sunflowers are beautiful and a favorite. I love the silk flowers and arrangements. Neat looking moth, great capture. Wishing you a happy day!

No.And I imagine my temps are more autumnal than yours are; nevertheless, I am unwilling to let summer go yet. Hope that your lovely fall decorating helps you feel cooler! ☺️ When can you actually expect a cooling off?

I love the soft orange of your pretty arrangements! No decorating here yet, living outdoors from morning till afternoon. I'll start to do something inside the house & decorating late September, I think. Greetings.

I love all your decorations! So pretty. It is so hot here that I haven't had the heart to decorate for fall even though in my head I'm figuring things out. I have more decorations for fall than any other time of year.

The fresh new flowers are a great idea! A few - actually MANY - of my wreaths and arrangements are showing their age! I’m putting them all in tubs and will spruce them up one at a time in the next week or two. They will get a facelift!
That sunflower arrangement is gorgeous!

I haven't changed anything yet but now that you have I think it's time to start getting ready for Fall decorating! The moth is beautiful! So are your decorations.

I like your fall decorations. I've seen lots of nice things in the stores but have refrained from buying more than I already have.
I haven't done any fall decorating yet. I'm not ready to let go of summer.

Beautiful arrangements my friend. I like the moth. Moths are so interesting. When I was little I would see several luna moths, sadly I do not see them anymore. I would love to show one to my boys.

Very pretty Fall decorations! I am not yet in the mood. It is still too hot for me to be thinking pumpkins but I sure do like yours!

We are in the process of moving this weekend, so I will not be decorating for a little while yet...have to get things in place and then find my box of fall decorations...(or buy new ones if I can't find them! LOL) Your little chairs with pumpkins are so cute, and the flowers are lovely. I love fall...my favorite time of year...Thank you for reminding me that it is coming soon!! So tired of this hot summer!!

Your baskets of flowers are so pretty. I do love the Fall colors, although I'm not quite ready for Autumn to get here. When it does get here, I hope it lasts well into the end of November.

Your salads sound delicious. I'm trying to make healthier meals now and so far it's working out good. That moth is lovely. I don't think I saw very many of them this year. That's sad. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Those chairs with the pumpkins made me smile hehehe. I just bought a fairy table and chairs at Big Lots with lady bugs on it. So much stuff was on Summer sale if you like Big Lots. Your flower arrangements are nice, Diane. They look just right for the start of Autumn. That moth is pretty cool looking.

Have a relaxing weekend. : )

Too much too soon is right---not you but for me. I love Fall but am just not ready yet. So even though it is cloudy and a bit damp today I am still in summer mode.

I seem to have inertia. I'll have to get on this soon!
Next time we get rain I have to do floors. That doesn't seem to be for a week! Yippee!!!! Oh, yes. The grandies are coming, too. I shall be busy.

Very pretty! I love your choice of flowers. I am about to put away my sea theme and change it up for Sept. But no Fall items yet for me. :) Kit

I'm not quite ready to bring on the fall yet but your lovely post reminds me it's not that far behind! And it all looks so very pretty!

I'm not one to decorate according to seasons, but I sure do love what you've done! Those sewn pumpkins are just gorgeous! BTW, coming from the US to New Zealand, it's more difficult than you think adjusting to opposite seasons!
