'shrooms!

I looked this term up and it said 'shrooms could refer to any mushrooms. It can also mean a super mushroom. I'm using it just for fun to show the incredible variety of mushrooms we saw on the Florida Trails at the Pruitt Trailhead.

 This was probably my favorite!

Another view

We hiked into a wooded area and were amazed at the mushrooms growing there.

I wanted to highlight a few really neat ones.

Doesn't this look like a little man?

This one was teeny tiny with little water droplets all around!

They are all so unique and incredible.

Doesn't this one look like it has bear tracks on top. Maybe it was a fairy bear?

Don't worry, I didn't touch any of them. I don't know enough about them to know which ones are poisonous and which ones are safe. I don't touch many plants when I hike anyway. I don't want to get a rash from any of them. We saw just a few sprigs of poison oak but mostly Virginia Creeper.

These were all taken with my camera but I have more that my hubby took with his. It may become the battle of the 'shrooms! heehee!

I’m joining Thankful Thursdays .

Diane, Those are unusual mushrooms. The first looks like a flower. I like the fairy bear tracks. :) Oh I am so with you on not touching any of them. Is Virginia Creeper poisonous? I don't think I know what it is. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

There are 'shrooms popping up in my mulch beds. I tend to think of them as a nuisance. Guess I'd better take a closer look. Maybe they will be more interesting up close. You sure did find a wide variety of interesting ones.

You sure found a lot different ones. I'm the same as you, I don't know enough about them to know the difference between a good one and a bad one. I get mushrooms growing in my yard just about every year. That first one is amazing with that color

They sure come in all shapes, sizes, and colors.
Love that first one!!!

Strange and beautiful, for sure! I don't know which ones are good and which are poison either. I'll trust the supermarket!!

you've got some great pictures of the mushrooms here! I am clueless about which ones are edible and which are poisonous as well. I do love mushrooms though----love them on almost anything, omelettes, pizza, in salad.....etc. And my favorite is stuffed mushrooms! Oh, and deep fried mushrooms too! Happy Friday.....weekend is here again, LOL!

we have 3 of the types you have here in our front yard. I checked the fenced dog yard and removed them. not good for dogs to eat them. you really found some beauties. hubby and I had a bicker or two about toadstools not being mushrooms. he said what are you doing, I said getting rid of mushrooms that might make Big sick. he said they are toadstools not mushrooms. I just shut up because I knew they are all mushrooms. I did find that toadstools are the ones they should not eat

They are all intriguing...I like the one that looks like a geisha’s umbrella.

Fairy Bear being chased across the mushroom. I can see the illustration now. I've never seen a yellow mushroom before. It looks so sunny and bright. Maybe the Fairy Bear was looking for it.

Your collage of mushrooms is very unique and so interesting! You manage to spot the most amazing animals, birds, and plants on your hikes. Thanks for sharing them with those of us who are staying indoors with the air conditioning at full blast! (ha-ha!)
