The Green and Blue in Nature!

Well, let's start with the green!
(look in the very center of this photo)

We saw lots of baby frogs when we hiked on the Florida Trails at the Pruitt Trailhead earlier in the Spring.

Well, the frogs have grown up and turned green!

Aren't they just amazing up close?

And they are LOUD too! Louder now than in the Spring!

So how about something blue in nature.

How about these baby blue birds?

I guess I should really call them Juvenile Eastern Bluebirds.

I was surprised when I went to find the ID because they don't really have the shape of an adult.

Not the best photo but it shows more of the blue feathers.

So that's my little bit of green and blue for the weekend. When I was a teenager, we thought we couldn't combine those colors in our clothing. I doubt if anyone worries about that any more! (that was a LOOONG time ago)

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE
  and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

...look at those eyes!!!

It's ironic how we were taught different things about colours matching. We were always told that green went with everything, since flowers come in every colour and the leaves are always green and the combinations never look out of place. Makes perfect sense to me.

Great pictures Diane. I did not realize that a frogs eyes were so big . I love those bluebirds. We had some here this year. But we have sparrows and they kind of look like the baby bluebird. LOL So I am not sure I ever saw a baby here. But the adult ones are easy to spot. Hope it's cooler there. We are having a bit of low humidity and it's wonderful. Blessings to you, xoxo, love, Susie

Love the froggy photos! I'm giggling over them still.
Aren't juvenile bluebirds scrappy looking. The first time they came to my birdbath I had no idea what they were.
have a great weekend!

I think the green of the earth reaching to the blue of the sky is the most pleasing and soothing sight. God knew when he put those two colors together, and they are one of my favorite combinations!

Cute baby birds, and pretty wildflowers! Love the frog photos!
I remember when blue and green were not to be combined, but then a professional photographer friend told me, "The trees are green, the sky is blue, and together they are beautiful." So bring on the blue and green combinations!

All colors in nature are beautiful. I love your photos. Especially those frogs! I go to Florida every winter for two weeks, and I just love it. The flora and fauna are just beautiful. I love taking photos of the sky and the clouds too. Just seven more months, and I get to go back there. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.

Awww, those blue birds are darling! And, I must admit, that frog photo (3rd from top) is priceless. May I have your permission to take this photo & draw it?

We all, at I'd Rather B Birdin', appreciate you sharing with us. Thanks!

The same as we couldn't imagine redheads wearing red or orange, eh? The "fashion world" said they never went together, as didn't green & blue. I'm so glad we're past those old "rules". Green and blue are one of my favorite color combinations.... as are your posts, my friend. Love, Andrea xoxo

Love the pictures...you got some great shots of the frogs!!---so cute! Well, we've had alot of rain here today. Not sure we'll be out walking but if it stops maybe as I do like walking in the puddles, ha ha! I like to walk in light rain as well long as I have an umbrella. Hope your weather was nice today. I keep hoping to see the bluebirds, my folks had them. I've never seen any here though.
