Catching up with Mosaics!

Mosaics are such a fun way to share our photos! And if you're like me you take a LOT of them!

And then hubby takes 'a few' too! These are his pics of the cactus that are blooming in the fields at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve now.

He took one of me on the trail at 49th Ave. The flower in the top right is Rose-rush,  not sure what the other one is!

I took one of him to add to the cactus photos he took on the Florida Trails.

We both took pics of the Red-bellied Woodpeckers and Coral Bean flowers in full bloom.

This long leafed Pine is beautiful and the top right is Wooly Pawpaw in bloom.

You would NOT believe how many butterflies are here now! The wildflowers are blooming like crazy and the butterflies are everywhere!!

Isn't the beautiful blue sky amazing here in Florida?

So that's what occupies my days! My days 'at home' aren't nearly as interesting! I clean and cook and eat and talk to family on the phone and write texts and read books and my favorite blogs. I will say that I've been Spring cleaning some AND doing a little art! But believe me, you'll enjoy my hiking photos more! lol

49th Ave Trailhead

And thanks to everyone for the fun comments about my new Jeep. It seems like if you've ever had one or you have one now, you LOVE Jeeps! I know I wasn't sure until I test drove a few if it was right for me. And Tom, they have made 'a few' improvements since the '60s! The ride is smooth and I have lots of the latest technology. I even have navigation! Be ready, I might drive by to take YOU for a ride! I'm really loving it! It's just what I needed to go everywhere I want to go! 🚘

I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .

I'm linking with All Seasons at the Jesh Studio,

AND my Monday post HERE.

More lovely photos from your FL environs.
As to the Grand Canyon of the East in PA it's in Leonard Harrison State Park near Wellsboro, PA. Compared to the one in NY it has very wooded hillsides.

I enjoy all of your wonderful pictures. I spotted a woodpecker in my bird feeder as I was standing at my kitchen sink looking out the window on Saturday. I stood there and watched 5 squirrels, 4 redbirds and a woodpecker....playing and eating. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Very nifty collages. I especially like the way you divided the yellow rose into fourths to create a ruffle. Keep having fun while it's cool enough.

So many beautiful flowers. I saw my first swallowtail of the season a couple of weeks ago. That is always exciting. xo Laura

Beautifulllllll!!!

I'm interested in the not so pretty stuff. -smile-

The cooking and the eating. Since you once said you can not eat any sugar, I have been wanting to ask about that. Since there is sugar in everything one buys, do you cook everything from scratch? To make sure you ingest no sugar?

I am happy to eat at home, since I have to eat Gluten Free. And they best way to be sure, is to cook at home.

Please and thank you, for telling me....

All of these gorgeous pictures inside all of these gorgeous collages and mosaics remind me that I have not done one and probably a month or even two months so what's up with that. I can't even remember the name of the program. Just remembered photoscape I haven't even been on photoscape in 2 months yowza I got caught up in PicMonkey. Each and every one of these is absolutely gorgeous and I love the one of your hubby and his yellow shirt with his yellow Cactus and I wished my hubby like to take pictures or that he would get his knees fixed so we could walk in the park

I'm just like you - I love to take a lot of photos, which is why I prefer to "wrap" them in mosaics. I think you also use PhotoScapeX? I only discovered that for myself a few weeks ago, but I think it's great! Your collages are beautiful - I am especially in love with the flowers at the beginning and the pretty woodpeckers!

Congratulations on your new red Jeep! My older brother had a Jeep and it was great fun to drive and was able to navigate the worse roads.

I love all the wonderful blooms and butterflies in your mosaics and photos of you and your husband. We've had snow in Colorado and more to come so Spring is hiding her face here.

What a delightful hike, Diane. What a name for a flower "wooly paw paw" makes me smile. Wow you got two woodpeckers and a flower in one photo! Love that long plume coming out of that tree/bush. Have to admit, the jeep seems a little big. Navigation - do you mean GPS?
You are writing about your time at home - does this mean you are not working anymore? Am looking forward to your next story at All Seasons! Have a great week, Jesh

Wow. Thanks for sharing all these wonderful photos. My sister in law lives on the tip of the Everglades near Parkland and she has some woodpeckers that are doing a job on part of her house. That bear sign would scare me. Where are the bears in Florida?

Such great photos. Your cactus blooms are so pretty. They are ahead of ours up here. I just noticed this morning that they are starting to bud and I told "Lily Grace" we would have to watch those so we can be sure to get some pictures of them when they bloom. I haven't seen any coral bean blooming yet either, but where we are now we don't see much of it. It is amazing how different things are just 30 minutes north of Salt Springs! Love your pictures. Enjoy your Jeep and keep on hiking!!

wow, such a beautiful post. Love all your mosaics, especially the first one! And the one with the Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
Your spring is way ahead of ours has started but there will be much to come.
Take care!

howdy there Diane, so glad you stopped by! Yes, I surely DO REMEMBER the corsages, we always did that on Mother's Day in my childhood, white if your Mother had passed on and red if your Mother was still living. I STILL DO the corsages at church on Mother's Day and probably always will....it's just an old fashioned tradition I hang onto and have taught my daughters altho they aren't much for the "old traditions" LOL. I just love love love your new Jeep....no MATTER WHERE YOU PARK IT.....it always looks great, doesn't it? It's so photogenic!! LOL!!! Love your mosaics--yours are the prettiest of anyone I know. You do good on those. I like the butterfly one the best this time.

It's so pretty in your neck of the woods! Your mosaics are wonderfully creative. I can't wait until we have butterflies flitting about.

This post is stuffed full of beautiful photos! I love all of them but the butterflies are especially beautiful. And the bee going into the cactus flower.

Loving it all...should bookmark this post because of all the great wildflower IDs...I really need to learn more about those. Keep on posting about the beautiful hikes you take, I love them. I know you have many other interests, blog worthy ones too. Haha, even I once in a great while actually do something else besides take a walk outside and “steal” other peoples flowers for my mosaics )), but none of those other interests make good pictures .

I think the first one is my favorite.

Seeing all these mosaics, I understand how you enjoyed making them. The first mosaic is so artistic and kaleidoscopically beautiful. The mosaic of Florida blue sky made me feel comfortable as if driving looking up at the blue skies from your jeep. Enjoy the beautiful season.

Diane - yes, I take more photos than I probably will ever be able to post. I am away from home right now, but if I had to guess, I would see that I have hikes from 2 years ago that I still have not written about! So, yes, mosaics are the way to go!!! I am more than a little jealous of your Spring - we just had our latest wind/snow storm Sunday night ... Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday!

Hi Friend,
Come on up to Wisconsin with your Jeep. We can ride to the Blue Hills together, you will love it! :-) Or I will have to come visit you for that ride, to go see some alligators.
Love Ya!! Carla

We had woodpeckers making swiss cheese out of our cedar house siding in Colorado, so they are NOT my favorite bird. But with that said, this one you featured is much prettier than the variety I'm used to.

Oh, that photo with the butterfly and the Purple wildflower is so pretty. I thought I saw a white butterfly the other day, but it was far away, so it was hard to tell. I love the Rose-rush, what a lovely delicate flower. Those Woodpeckers sure are fun to watch. So glad you are enjoying your Jeep, Diane. Have a splendid weekend.
