We hiked at Halpata Tastanaki Preserve from the Pruitt trailhead this week on a bright sunny day.
And I let the sun shine into my lens.
It created some bokeh effects.
I didn't add anything to these photos.
This is what I saw when I loaded them onto my computer and viewed them.
Yes, even the one above. (I have no explanation for the cross, it was a reflection of something I think)
And now we are on the back side of the hike and the sun is behind me giving a nice contrast to the grasses in the fields.
I loved the way the clouds looked too.
The views of the preserve are beautiful in every season.
We watched a Great White Egret flying on the trail ahead of us like it was a landing strip.
There's always something amazing to see when you get out in nature.
It's a special time of year here in Florida. I think it would surprise most people!

I love the large blue skies in Florida. Those little crosses are so very interesting. You have a super day, hugs, Edna B.
Beautiful countryside. I love the cross in the photos.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
we do have fabulous skies here in Florida - amazing mosaics
Wow, what amazing photos, and that cross is no accident, I am sure! Just God's little signature on His creation! A reminder that He did it all for us because He loves us so much! That's a wonderful Thanksgiving message and picture. Loved them all...and that white egret is beautiful! Thank you for sharing all of this with us. Yep, God signed your pictures with love. Happy Thanksgiving.
Wonderful photos and mosaics.
Happy you dropped by my blog
Much💛love
What beautiful mosaics!! It has become chilly and much colder here, so seeing all your sunshine is warming!!...Happy Thanksgiving, Diane!....jp
Fun photos! It looks like a wonderful place to hike.
That is some beautiful sunshine. It was dark and gloomy here today so I appreciate you sharing your sun.
I did enjoy seeing all of your photographs and loved your mosaics.
The cross in some of them was certainly different!
Enjoy your week.
All the best Jan

Those effects are so cool... There isn't a filter that can duplicate that; I love the photos!
Those blue skies streaked with clouds look so lovely. The cross is interesting - wonder what made it? Lovely mosaics, too. Have a great week, Diane.
Beautiful pics of Fall. Yes, so much gold in Autumn. The cross reflection is very interesting.
The egret is a graceful bird. - Margy
Beautiful!!
And in your November 20th post, I thank you for sharing a photo of my favorite, alligators!!! :-)
So glad to see you are still blogging, trying to get back into it and we moved about a year ago and things got a little crazy around here during COVID but doing well and hope you and your family are as well. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Diane - I am not one for heat and humidity, so I would be much more likely to visit Florida at this time of year or in the winter!!! Love the photo of the heron "on the landing strip". Thanks for linking to Mosaic Monday, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Hello! You and I seem to have captured sun flare, though I did it intentionally. I wonder what the revelation of the cross is about. The ever-changing flow of fluffy clouds is fantastic.

Your mosaics are fantastic.
Hello,
Beautiful scenes from your hike. I like the bokeh and the egret. Lovely skies, such a pretty day. Take care, enjoy your day and week ahead! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Enjoy the sunshine!!
Me encantaron tus fotos. Gracias y besos.
A lovely hike!
Interesting landscape, it's always a pleasure to see some other parts of the World. We stay at home in this time so I look in TV or read about travelling.
Happy MosaicMonday
The mosaics are beautiful. You have such beautiful places to hike where you live.
Yes it would surprise people who think we're all DisneyWorld and palm trees. And you do the best job showing and telling about the "real Florida"... your banner words are simply perfect! I imagine you two to be like we are -- this natural state is the reason we're still be here after all these years. ... your Mosaics are beautiful -- each picture perfect and put together even better!~
Very interesting shots but the cross is really amazing! It wasn't really there? crazy
The Cross is beautiful on these photos. That has happened to me before when taking pictures out in the country on a sunny day. I loved it when I downloaded the pictures and a Cross showed up on my photos. The clouds on your hike look very lovely too, angelic somewhat. Yes, there's no need to add any filters with pictures as special as these. I love the Autumn quote you shared today. And the sight of a Great Egret - what a perfect day.
Happy Thanksgiving to you, dear friend.
~Sheri
What a great hike you had - have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving!
Winter is Florida is wonderful! I always loved winter in New Orleans and in Destin. People are surprised at how green it is, how much life and blooms going on, like camellias! I love the reflections on your photos. The red and green made me think nature is saying, "Christmas is coming!" and of course, the Cross -- I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving.
I enjoyed my wander with you today - that cross is awesome!
Hope you are having a lovey Thanksgiving weekend.
