I looked up the definition of 'primrose path' and it has a negative connotation so I'll just lead you down Limerock Road until we find the patch of Water Primroses.
Water Primrose (Ludwigia Octovalis)
It was a challenge to find the proper ID for these flowers. This area was very wet the first time we saw them, so we went back a few days later so that we could walk down into the marshy area and get better photos. They are tiny but very showy!
I got my ID from the website HERE and this one HERE. If you think I am mistaken, feel free to enlighten me!
They sure were beautiful and flowers we've never seen before.
It was a day of yellow flowers with many of the cactus in bloom.
And then when we got home, I photographed the Magnolia tree next door.
What a beauty!
I hope your week is filled with beauty and a chance to see some wildflowers in bloom!
I'm joining Angie for Mosaic Monday HERE .
I’m joining Thankful Thursdays and

Well I did see a dandelion. 😄 Things are looking up! I like that spiderwort looking like yellow flower. Very dainty and pretty.
...oh, I was hoping that you would.
How wonderful to go on those walks and see such beautiful nature. I love all of those pretty flowers. Thanks for the blog visit and have a day Diane.
I don't think that I have ever seen Water Primroses - they are beautiful!
The other flowers are lovely, too!
Have a great week!
for flowers, yellow is my favorite color and wild yellow flowers top the list. these are beautiful as are the magnolias.
Primroses and magnolias! So beautiful and so much to love here. I'm so glad spring has arrived!
Love your primroses. Most of the ones I see around here are kind of pink/majenta colored. Oh, the cactus blooms. I took several yesterday, which I may share later. They only bloom for such a short time, and they are SO pretty! I love to see them! And the magnolias too!! Beautiful flowers. Thank you for sharing with us. Love to see the beauty around you!
Great flower photos. The primrose is beautiful. Snazzy camera guy
Hi Diane
Such beautiful wildflowers! I know how confusing flower identification can be as they are often listed by color and so many look alike. It is still a bit early for wildflowers where I live but, hopefully, May will bring many.
Thank you for these beautiful flower photos. I love yellow flowers.
Beautiful tiny little yellow fairy flowers! The magnolias are just starting here--- how I love their big blooms!! Are your roses blooming yet?-- I'm pretty sure you have rosebushes? Hugs!
What beautiful flowers! Oh I love the colors. Your pictures are always so lovely. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
There are so many amazing wildflowers! You are wise to laud them!
The water primrose is just a pretty little flower!!!
All gorgeous flowers.
I love all the yellow! Those magnolias, though, are perfection. Wow! xo
What beautiful pictures of the yellow flowers and magnolias.
I enjoyed it.
Greetings Irma

I don't recall ever having seen Water Primroses and it is obviously my loss. What a gorgeous little flower. Just seeing your picture is a great start to my day.

you are lucky to have such a handsome companion for your walks and hikes!!
Such gorgeous flowers! I am about to head back to the ranch and Louis Dean said they got a LOT of rain yesterday! I'm hoping to see lots of wildflowers on my way back!
The more I spend out walking about the more I crave it! Nature is a wondrous place to evolve and renew ourselves! Thank you for these lovely photos, and a hike along with you, take care and enjoy your day!
Oh, the blog today was so wonderful! The lovely yellow flowers made my heart sing! They are so beautiful; it has uplifted my spirit!! Thank you so much! Love, Aunt Helen
Beautiful flowers. Yellow flowers are so welcome and cheerful in early spring here. And the magnolia - stunning. I have never seen a water primrose, so I'm glad you showed one to me.
Beautiful wild flowers, but please be careful walking down into the marshy areas for photos.
Yellow is one of the first flower colors here both for the wild ones along the roadside and the daffodils.
The flowers are very beautiful
At this time of year, we might call Florida the "sunshine flower state" with all these gorgeous yellow blooms everywhere!
Terrific images, Diane!
I do enjoy the Spring season and all the beautiful flowers it brings.
Your photographs are so lovely Diane, thank you.
All the best Jan
Son todas las flores preciosas, me encantan. Besos.
Beautiful flowers Diane, I don't remember ever seeing the yellow one before. Thank you for sharing them.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!
I think Magnolia are amazing.
Is that a prickly pear cactus?
I'm actually reading a book called 'Murder at Primrose Cottage' just now, so this is perfect for me.

Yellow is my favorite color! They are all gorgeous. My neighbor has a magnolia tree. She gave me a blossom once and I brought it inside and set it in a bowl of water. The scent was almost overpowering.
Happy spring flowers to you!
Never seen before Sandrine Cranes. I enjoyed your post, it was very interesting. The flowers are lovely especially the wild yellow roses. Thank you for sharing.
Have a good week. Happy MosaicMonday
the first photo is love the most
All wonderful -- yellow flowers are my superfavorite and you have a lot more wildflowers than we do over here I think! I also love the "tame" magnolia. We had one in our yard in Oregon (in our previous life) which I think was the reason we bought the house! (It was a lovely home to raise our kids in, but seriously, the magnolia was why I fell in love with it when we were house-hunting!)
I had a great magnolia tree in the front of my old house, and I really miss it. The white magnolia blooms are so BIG! And the inside of the petals have so much detail. What a beauty of a flower. : )
