Exciting News for 2024!

We spent months researching what we wanted to do to expand our nature hikes for this year!

It's been fun to go online and learn so much about camping in the Southeast!

Over the years my husband and I have hiked, backpacked, slept in tents and just about every kind of camper they make. We even owned a motorhome for a few years and really enjoyed traveling in that.

But to go to the State Parks and campgrounds we are interested in, we needed something small!

So we bought the smallest travel trailer we could find that had everything we wanted.

We wrote down our 'wish list' and the Grand Design 'Adventure in Motion' met all of our needs.

A special thanks to George and Katie and everyone at Camper's Inn RV that made our dream come true!

The link HERE shows the AIM floorplan.

Come on in!

A view from the back! It's tiny!

It has a murphy bed that easily folds back into a comfortable sofa for daytime use.

It has a small dinette.

The kitchen has 2 burners, a deep sink, a confection oven/microwave and a refrigerator and freezer.

It has lots of cabinets, wardrobes and storage bins.

AND...a full bathroom along the back with a shower, toilet and sink.

A pocket door closes the bathroom off...don't worry! lol

Everything we wanted in a little more than 19 feet...that can be pulled by our Chevy Silverado!

We just picked it up a few days ago so we are busy learning the systems and figuring out where everything needs to go. There are things to purchase but we can use our 'extras' from our house.

So we'll be able to go a little farther away from home to 'discover the real Florida' and when the weather improves we would love to travel to some of the campgrounds in Georgia.

I was going to begin this post with "Someone's been very good this year" because we picked up the trailer just a few days before my birthday! How about a BIG RED BOW for the top!

We are excited to plan some camping trips. Have you ever been camping?

Hello,

Congrats on your new Camper RV, the inside looks very nice. Everything you would need. Sounds like some fun times are going to be happening. I have been camping but only in a tent, the camper sounds much more comfortable. Have fun and safe travels. Take care, have a wonderful day!

Congratulations, Diane! Yes, we love camping. Until a couple of years ago it was always with a tent = that got old (so did we). Now we have a 21 foot Escape trailer and we drove all the way across Canada with it last summer. It was the perfect size for such a trip with all the conveniences we need. We're looking forward to doing more camping this year. Enjoy your trips!

I can feel the excitement in the air! I am delighted to read this blog post and to imagine all the wonderful adventures you're going to have. I love how compact it is by having that Murphy bed in the back. I have never seen one that had that before. I'm sure that we'll be able to tag along on all your adventures and that is also exciting to me. Have fun my dear friend and enjoy every minute :)

Dear Diane,
that's a cute pretty camper! And very luxurious inside!!!

I've also owned two small campers in my life, but none of them were ever so beautifully equipped: The first was when I was still a teenager: My parents had a large caravan that was on a permanent campsite in the summer, and my "dwarf " (from 2nd or 3rd hand) stood next to it like the kid from the big camper. I LOVED this retreat. Later, when I had my own small family, we wanted to go winter camping in a ski resort that I also knew from my own youth, and so we bought a small caravan that was winter-proof and second-hand and spent in it every ski weekend and some winter holidays for about 4 years. It was a nice time, but then some things changed at the campsite and something new came into our lives! Change is the only constant 😉
Have fun with your great camper and belated birthday wishes to you!
All the best, Traude

I am so excited for the upcoming travel posts. :-)
We enjoy camping too. For the past two years we have been doing camp/kayaking adventures. We pick non motorized lakes we want to kayak and find a campground near by.
Congratulations and give us camping tips too, I always like to learn a few new tips.
Love, Carla

I like the small caravan/camper. Despite its size, it's very modern and well-equipped. I hope you can visit beautiful places. No, we always opt for a bungalow, drive there, and stay for a week, engaging in activities like walking, running, and cycling.

We started out camping in a two room rent hen we had the kids, usually at camping grounds and then graduated to a tiny caravan followed by a one a bit bigger. I loved tenting but you get to the point where you want a bit more omfort.
Hoping you have a great time in your wee van. Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Oh that's deluxe. I know it is small but it has it all over tent camping. You can move around without packing and unpacking everything plus you can stay dry when it is wet and warm on cold mornings. It has everything you need.

Congratulations. Looking forward to your posts on your adventures using your new trailer.

Congrats! You will have such fun! I miss those days, my hubby and I had an over-the-cab pickup camper, tiny, no facilities, but so nice to travel with! Oh, the places you’ll go….

I’m sooo happy for you! Florida exploring will only get better and I can’t wait to see where you go and what you do! And you know we are campers, like you having camped in pretty much every possible way there is. And loving it all. Your new one reminds me of the tiny trailer, our most recently acquired one. But (It’s in Oregon now!)
