Deep in the Forest!

Time to put on our hiking shoes and go deep into the woods!

Don't be skeeeeered!

You're in Bear Country now!

A REAL bear den!

OK! That's close enough....let's keep going!

We'll only go during the day when the monsters don't look as scary.

Because you KNOW there will be monsters in the forest!

Some real.....

others imagined!

Use your imagination!

But don't let it run WILD!

I love hiking deep into the forest BEST!

Gnome Country! It's my favorite place to be!

We'll just stop now to watch the pretty Warblers!

Time to FLY!

Were you skeeeered? Maybe just a little? Me too!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

  and Mosaic Monday HERE !

The owl flying towards us is my favorite and WOW, i did see some critters and some were real and some were not.. i don't want to see a real bear, or a mountain lion. just read something about them starting to be seen in central FLorida

I'd be a wee bit skeered, too!

You never know what you'll come across deep in the forest. That bear den was cool. That's a neat photo of the lizard. I love the little gnome welcoming everyone. These woods are all around me, and my son takes walks through them, but I tend to visit open spaces, like the creek. ; ) And this area is bear country too. The yellow jessamine is so pretty on your Header. Looks Springy.

Have a peaceful weekend, Diane.

What a terrifying hike! LOL!
I've been more scared of the old tree photos than the critters.
Thank you for the laughs

The forest floor seems very dry. Beautiful bird captures

Great hike.
We live with bears on our property and have only seen them a few times. See their scat all over though. Every time we've seen one they can't get away from us fast enough.

The forest can be a scary place, but also very interesting and exciting. I just make lots of noise to scare the bears away.

It was a bit scary with some of those monsters but I felt relatively safe. I was just glad that a bear didn't pop out of that den.

I would be more than scared!! No way I would go into those woods and truthfully I am shocked to realize there are bears in woods in Florida. I had NO idea!!! Nice photos and now I know what a bear den looks like...

Hello Diane :=)
Beautiful photo of the yellow flowers on your Header, and those yellow warblers are great captures. I wouldn't venture into a forest on my own if I knew there were bears in it, but from my computer chair I wasn't scared. I enjoyed the real creatures and imagined, and seeing a bear den was pretty cool. The gnome is a fun find, or did you take it with you? You are such a tease Diane that I wouldn't put it past you!:=)
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
Sonjia.

It's a great time to be in the forest!
Just think how much more skeered those critters are of US.

Loved all your images.

Bear country, oh no. I'll also admire from a distance. The warbler birds are so colorful. 'Hope your week is going well.

I'm afraid I have to apologize to you, for doubting bears were in Florida :) I had to look it up and found out one has been seen in middle Tennessee where I live. I'm not fond of the idea of running into a bear when out in the woods. Anyway, nice photos of your hike.

I like walking in the forest, you won't encounter bears here, you can only see them here in a zoo.
What we can encounter nowadays is the wolf, which has now really established itself in the Netherlands, there are a number of packs at the moment on the Veluwe.
I enjoyed your photos.
I wish you a beautiful Sunday.
Greetings Irma

Did the bear sleep in the cave?

Oh wow, you went really deep into the woods.
I think the bears in Oklahoma also dig dens in the ground but I have never seen such a den.

however, beautiful photos.

Love the imagined scary monsters. I loved hiking in our forest but I can't do it any more due to sciatica and it makes me depressed not to be able to enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest.
