Blue Run Park and the sights on a Spring day!

I don't know where to start!

Well, I know where to START....

Green Heron

I just don't know where to end!

I hate to leave out the several species of Warblers or the Herons, turtles and alligators, flowers and butterflies but I'll have to save some of those photos for another day.

He put his best foot forward!

Did I mention that the weather is perfect here in Florida right now?

Oh, I did? lol

Cormorant

If I had more time and energy, I would be out on the trails every day.

Oh, I've said that already too!

I do believe this is the most beautiful Great White Egret I've ever seen.

Even the photos taken through the leaves that aren't perfectly sharp look beautiful and dreamy.

It was a perfect day for a special outing and we enjoyed visiting with others that were there enjoying a day at the park!

We had expected some major paving on the trail but they had just patched some areas so that was nice!

Pied Billed Grebe with the catch of the day.

We'll go again soon!

Oh wait....a cute little baby gator!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

  and Mosaic Monday HERE !

The egret looks like she's all dressed up and ready for a night of dinning and dancing, so posh.

The White Egret is so pretty. She's such a graceful beauty. And the "catch of the day" photo is delightful. I love your purple flowers on your Header; my favorite color. Spring has surely arrived in your area. It was a sunny day today here too, but Winter may not be over quite yet, we'll see. ; )

Oh, I just read your comment. Yes, those are pink rain boots! My son bought them for me for Christmas, and I knew that I would be needing them this Winter. They really soak up the rain and snow. You can't really tell, but they are sparkly pink. Have a lovely weekend, Diane.

These are all spectacular. I can't even pick a favorite because each one is wonderful. What a joy to get to see these in person. I was looking at that last picture and at first I thought it was just a log and then I finally spotted the eye.

The longer feathers on that Great White Egret are very “artsy’! As you said, “beautiful and dreamy.”

And the baby gator! Wow!

I feel so lucky to see these birds outside my window here in Florida. No gators in our lake this season though.

Love all the pictures!-- my favorite is the baby alligator! Great hiking weather now!

You can say those happy things over and over and I'd not get tired of them! Love all the pictures and am envious of the pied billed grebe with its catch no less! I have so many pictures of "where the grebe used to be" -- they always seem to dive just as I snap. (Also envious that you have enough pictures from one hike to share on another day, but as long as you share them I won't complain . Thanks!!!

Your photos beautifully captured the diversity of Blue Run Park.
The Green Heron is stunning, and I can see why the Great White Egret left such an impression on you.
And that baby gator is just adorable!
Thanks for sharing these delightful moments from your hike.
Makes me wish I could join you on your next outing, Diane.

The Iridescent Green Beetle is very interesting! I've never seen anything like it. I learn so much from your blog especially the names of so many Florida birds that I see but can't name. Thanks Beautiful pics.
