Florida Spring sightings!

We got back from our camping trip safe and sound and very very tired!

You would think that camping would be relaxing but I hike every day that we are out in the campgrounds. There are so many wonderful trails that you can access from your campsite so I can grab my camera and have an adventure whenever I want.

So I have lots of photos to work on but I wanted to say 'hello' and share a few photos from adventures close to home.

I hiked a trail that has a trailhead on hwy 484 and saw the most beautiful Passion Flowers.

Most of them were still in buds but a few were opened up.

Spring is beautiful in Florida!

The butterflies love the thistle when it is in full bloom.

I have a few new ducks for the Jeep too.

They are really fun and a nice surprise when someone gives you one or leaves one on your door handle.

So what have you been up to lately? Share your news with me!

It's a rainy day today and I'm happy to stay inside and work on photos and get caught up on laundry.

Enjoy your day!

And get outside in nature when you can!

Great photos, always!! My new neighbors have been living in an RV for the last year and a half. They are so glad to have a house again! I can't imagine doing that, but I'm older than them (or you, I'm sure)! LOL My news is posted on my blog. You can check it out there! Welcome home!! Rest!!

Welcome Home! You are so blessed to be able to go camping and hiking in our beautiful forests and campgrounds. Florida does have so many interesting and beautiful places to explore. Thank you for sharing them with us. Love the butterflies! I noticed one of the big swallowtails today outside but couldn't get out there fast enough to take a picture! But now I know they are out there so I will be watching too! Thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed your camping trip, it can be tiring just being out in the fresh air so I can imagine what you felt like when you were hiking as well.😀 I enjoyed your photos and look forward to seeing more when you work your way round to them.

Wat een geweldige serie foto's.
Zo leuk die eendjes in de jeep.
Prachtig die passiebloem.
Hier is het nog steeds kurkdroog, het heeft al een paar maanden niet geregend, af en toe een buitje in de nacht.
Groetjes Irma

That trail looks so inviting. I would love to follow it and see where it leads. You've got a nice collection of ducks going

I've seen ducks on a dashboard before. Is that "a thing", or maybe it's YOUR vehicle I've seen???

Gardening has been on my agenda. The weather is warm enough here now to be out planting new perennials.

That Passion Flower is unusually pretty. What a unique flower. And the thistle blossom on your Header is really nice. I see those thistles at the creek here also. You have quite a collection of duckies in your jeep. They are funny little fellows. Rest up, and happy May days.

Hi Diane,
I’m glad to hear you’re back safe and sound from your camping trip – even if a bit tired! I love how you turn every outing into an adventure, camera in hand. The Passion Flowers are absolutely magical – even the buds are full of promise. And those butterflies on the thistle? A perfect spring scene!
I smiled at your Jeep duck update – hihi, so cute! - what a sweet little tradition that is. It must brighten your day to discover a new one.
As for me, I’ve been busy with some garden work between the rain showers – everything’s growing like crazy!
Enjoy your cozy photo-editing day indoors – I’m looking forward to seeing more of your Florida spring magic soon.
Warm wishes from across the pond,
Traude 🌿

Love following your adventures! We have some, too, but not anything like yours. Louis Dean loaded up tons of firewood from recently cut down trees in our neighborhood. I'm so thankful ge can still 'John Wayne' things on some days. One day he is elderly and the next day he is as strong as a 60-year-old. At nearly 89, he's doing great!
