Back in time, Reed Bingham Lake

I'm going to spend October of this year, sharing photos from camping trips that were taken in 2025.

I had photos I never shared and they are just too good to ignore! HA!

So WHAT in the WORLD is this?

A Great Blue Heron of course!

But isn't it one of the wildest Blue Herons you've ever seen?

I think he was proud of himself....

showing off for the camera.

I stood there in awe!!!

And that day, I saw so many beautiful butterflies too.

So let's enjoy memory lane

and photos from last year!

Do you like to look back at your old photos?

Sometimes I do....

sometimes not so much!

Love, Diane 💜

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE!

Hello Diane,
the blue heron looks so striking in the picture haha... truly amazing in this pose. The butterflies are beautiful too. We still have a few butterflies now, but as autumn sets in, we are seeing fewer and fewer. Warm regards, Helma

Diane, you have a wonderful gift with your photography and it's not just your camera. You spot things in nature that many of us never slow down to examine.

That Heron -- He's comical. Does he know how funny and odd he appears to us? Does he even care? His appearance sends a message about his personality. People do the same. Sometimes they are trying to tell us something about themselves; sometimes they are revealing things of which they are not even aware.

Then the butterfly pictures. How absolutely exquisite!! How amazing that our Creator God would put so much detail into the artful design of the butterfly's wings when all they do is flit about unseen by many of us.

It is the middle of the night and I am awake. A problem has awakened me and I finally had to just get up for a while. Seeing this butterfly's intricate detail and beauty has given me the reminder to trust the Lord with what baffles me, don't worry, and depend on Him to show me how to tackle things.

That blue heron was definitely more frilly than the ones around here! We have four in our neighborhood on the two lakes. One is itty bitty compared to the others. You are such a talented photographer. I enjoy your nature shots!

Oh wow! What a wild looking Great Blue Heron. Looks like a character straight of a story book.
