Let’s have some fun with photos!

I take a lot of photographs...I know we ALL do!

You can’t blog without photos! It’s no FUN!

DSCN7612-1

We don’t have time to work on each and every one of our photos but it’s FUN to work on some of them, especially those we want to put in our sidebars!

I saw some neat photos that Debbie had worked on...HERE!

And that gave me the idea to show a little step by step process for making a photo special!

I took this photo....

DSCN7127

and opened up Picassa and clicked on the photo to enlarge, then clicked on picnik. (this is a good time to walk away and get a glass of water or a snack. picnik takes a little while to open)

So now we are in picnik....

click on Effects

go to Vignette and do a little magic there,

then go to Focal B & W and place the circle of color that you want to highlight and apply,

Go to Frame, go to Border and choose your outside and inside colors and the width of the frame.

Now it’s time to add the Text...

I used Love Ya Like a.... and changed the color.

Then added Text again.

And VOILA! Wendy is prettier than ever!

DSCN7127-1

I used some of the same techniques for these!

Enjoy Blogging....

Have fun with your photos!

(and let me know if you work some magic on YOUR photos!)

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,

Love your creativity. Yes, Mom is just learning about "signing" her miniatures & my pictures. She uses Picasa 3.

Have a fun week. It's getting close to Thanksgiving. (o:

I just ADORE Picassa! I also love to use Picnik (even the free apps are great!). I still just adore that red pumpkin or whatever it is! Thanks for this post -- it's so helpful to have someone explain these things!

Those look great! Isn't picnic great?! I recommend it to a lot of folks. And do I work magic with my photos? Heavens to Betsy, I perform miracles! LOL, I am always amazed at how well they turn out when I run through some tricks in Photoshop and some plug-in programs I have!

I love to see you playing with your pics. They look great. Yes, they take a little extra time, but sometimes it is worth the extra time to have some fun. Thank you Diane for the mention....I am OK, or will be fine, just starting to get old I guess LOL!

How do you get Picassa..Is it software you have to buy? How does all that you do work..I know you explained it but I don't have the things you are talking about.
email me if you get a chance to explain it better (to someone that has mud in their brain LOL)

Hi Diane,
I have been super busy with preparing for the upcoming wedding of my son and his fiance. Cannot believe that it is almost here! We leave on Nov. lst to head to Houston for the wedding. I finally got a little time over the past couple of days to complete my posting on the recent Baja theme shower that was held in Houston. My husband and I had a great time there. I have enjoyed catching up on the blogs today. Love your pumpkin photo at the top of your blog. Fall is definitely in the air. Hope all is well with you. Have a beautiful day. xoxo Kim
