He's mine...and you can't have him!

I find things at the Thrift store....and then I have second thoughts when I get home with them! Do you ever do that? I'm not sure what I will do with these little Santas or this pitiful little doll with no hair....

But I do love the small Christmas scarf....

I LOVE these cute little cookbooks and think my mother had some of these...

but one of them is not really what I collect.

So hubby said, "just donate it back to the thrift store"...no big deal!

I say....WHAT? Is he really that sweet?

YES...he is! Just as long as HE doesn't have to go to the Thrift store! heehee! And I did find him something! We love bird books and this one has full page illustrations! Perfect!

When we leave Florida....we put things away!

Then when we get back after a few months...

I love putting my bedroom back in order! Let the sunshine in!!! ( and yes...I KNOW there's a fan on the nightstand! It's Florida! We decorate with FANS! heehee! )

We always look forward to being back in Florida! We LOVE the mountains of NC, too but there's just something about all of this Florida sunshine and being close to the ocean that thrills me through and through!

We don't live right on the coast....but it's only 45 minutes away!

I just changed my banner and a few of my pics to update my blog!

And I came across the original photo that my hubby took of me on my birthday this year.

The tiny print he added says, "shoes off, head down, bag in hand" ! It's my wallpaper on this computer and I love it! I spent my birthday this year on Jekyll Island. I LOVE the beach! I could become a 'beach bum'! lol

I hope you're having a fabulous day! After getting stocked up on groceries....I went to my favorite thrift store! I'll take pics of my finds soon!

QUILTS !

I’ve mentioned to most of you that I am CRAZY for QUILTS this Fall! I’ve spend hours on ETSY looking at all the lovely quilts and I’ve visited several quilting blogs.

I would like to say that I’m going to make one! But that is very optimistic! heehee! If I can find anything in the ‘cookie jar’, I would love to buy one! I see so many pretty ones!

And then there are the signs!

We were driving back from our land in Bluff when I saw this barn with a quilt…

 

and when we were at the Arboretum this was the Fall planting for the Quilt Garden.

If you could have a new quilt…..meaning either new or ‘new to you’….what colors would you choose? I thought if I looked on Etsy I could better identify what I am looking for! But I liked too many different combinations!

So I guess what I’m really asking …what colors do I like? heeheehee !!! HUGS !!!

November changes!

We went to the Arboretum again!

We hiked on a different trail…

for another 2 hour plus hike!

One of the best sites we saw on this hike was the fish in Bent Creek.

It’s very hard to see Rainbow Trout in a stream but we spotted these little fingerlings!
