I find things at the Thrift store....and then I have second thoughts when I get home with them! Do you ever do that? I'm not sure what I will do with these little Santas or this pitiful little doll with no hair....
But I do love the small Christmas scarf....
I LOVE these cute little cookbooks and think my mother had some of these...
but one of them is not really what I collect.
So hubby said, "just donate it back to the thrift store"...no big deal!
I say....WHAT? Is he really that sweet?
YES...he is! Just as long as HE doesn't have to go to the Thrift store! heehee! And I did find him something! We love bird books and this one has full page illustrations! Perfect!
Enjoy your day! Is it 10 am yet? That's when the thrift store opens!
Do you ever have second thoughts about your 'great finds'?

Yes, sometimes I find something I think a friend would like and sometimes they don't want it so it gets donated back. Also I find things and use them for a while then donate them back. Hey, it's cheaper than newly bought and it helps other so why not?
Your DH is a sweetie!
Mom just gave me some of those cookbooks. She used to cook a lot! Nice memories.

It is not quite 10:00 a.m. yet here on a getaway in Destin. :-)
Love these thrift store finds. No reason to ever donate them back. You only live once, enjoy.
I love shopping at thrift stores! I have found cookbooks like that before too, and little christmas decorations. Sometimes I wonder why I bought something once I get home with it, but I figure I didnt give much for it so its no big deal. LOL
I love your finds, and always enjoy seeing new cookbooks, as I collect them!

The cookie cookbook looks like one my mom had. Don is so easy going too that he often tells me to donate something back if it was an impulse buy. Let us know if you want to meet for dinner or lunch somewhere.
Great finds! Your hubby sounds like a keeper!
Yes - i have second thought a few things like that also. If daughter does not want it, I usually put it in a bag to go to GW.
Enjoy your weekend.
I love thrifting (when I have an hour without the kids)
especially for Christmas items- you might find this post of mine interesting about Christmas

Oh honey, I have second thoughts ALL the time! If I don't buy something, I scold myself for not getting it. If I do buy it, I ask myself why. There's just no winning! Maybe that's why I'm so happy when I get something great and I have no regrets at all. You're definitely not alone on this front.
I have learned to guess, then second guess and then guess another time just to be sure while I'm still at the thrift store....
I literally stand there and think of all of my possibilities for creating or reusing or repurposing...and if nothing comes to mind within two minutes...I don't buy it!
but of course, it's not a foul proof method..and I do end up re-thrifting sometimes!
it's really all part of the fun, i think!

I often "second guess" myself, but I rarely take items back or re-donate them. Every so often I participate in a flea market. About half of the stuff I sell represents items that I either never used or never gave to the intended recipient. But who can resist such cute finds?
Hello,
these are lovely finds. i love those vintage things too.
Unfortunately we don´t have those great shops here.
Enjoy your thrift shop ;o)
hello!
thank you for your visit today:)
unfortunately I'm a pack rat...so even if I dont care for it...I end up keeping it for a while...thankfully I'm a serial gifter, lol...so I end up giving it away once I've changed it up a bit!
the bitty doll is precious though..have a great night.
