Our destination?
The Silver River!
It’s WARM here in Florida this weekend!
Perfect for hiking at the Silver River State Park
when this is your reward at the end of the trail!
I’m joining Mary at her dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday!

Can music bring a tear to your eye?
I must be rather melancholy today....
because when I look at the sky it almost makes me cry!
And what happened when I brought this old wooden box home from the Thrift Store?
I opened it to discover beautiful dark green velvet...
and when I twisted the handle on the bottom,
it played "ARRIVEDERCI, ROMA"!
The tune was so beautiful that I really did shed a tear!
When I was walking around outside taking these photos...
this little guy seemed to want to ask WHY?
I hope your day is special...with no tears!
Oh but to make me feel LOTS better, look at this gorgeous Robin egg blue pitcher I bought.
It was made by Cronin pottery in the early 1950s in Minerva, Ohio! Way back along the time I came into existence! heehee!
Would you like to listen to MORE beautiful Italian music? Visit my friend, Lindy Lou from News from Italy on Sundays! I’ll be there!
Here’s a Nat King Cole version of this song for Vee
and everyone that wants to feel inspired!
I’m joining Common Ground for Vintage Inspiration Friday!
Molta felicità i miei amici...much happiness my friends!
We all treasure our ‘precious gems’!
I love having beautiful things on my dresser and nightstand!
I have collected vintage glassware
and even old jewelery boxes
to hold some of the vintage jewelry that I have...
But what are my precious gems?
All of you!
I get the best ideas from visiting my favorite blogs each day!
Today I went to Graphics Fairy and saw a beautiful project
by Girl in Pink ! So I saved an image from Graphics Fairy
and made this little card to hold an old clip on earring!
I distressed the card using brown KIWI shoe polish because Vicki at Rusty Rooster Vintage had just posted THIS POST showing us how! So now I have another way to display my treasures, using something I already had!
Thank you very much for being sweet blog buddies and sharing your wonderful ideas! What’s next?
I’m joining Suzanne for Vintage Thingy Thursday and
Brambleberry Cottage for Time Travel Thursday
And Thrifty Thursday!
I am joining Diann for Thrifty Things Friday , too!
Do you get ideas and learn new techniques
from your favorite blogs?
What can you do on a cool, rainy morning?
Have a bunny tea!
I decided to make myself a bunny....
just for FUN! This was my weekend sewing project!
I had all kinds of ideas for a dress but then I remembered this precious velour frock in the doll closet! So Miss Bunny got dressed and we had a bunny tea this morning....
instead of cleaning house!
Bunny’s hearts ...pink felted and beaded...
were a gift from Vicki at 2 Bags Full and bunny’s hand painted boxes were made by Celestina Marie!
And I made Miss Bunny! (now she needs a name!)
I’m joining Kim for Wow Us Wednesday!
And I’m bringing back ‘Wednesday Wee Ones’ this week!
We made the best of a rainy day! What did you do today?
Do you know what it means? I didn’t...
until my hubby and I went to the Silver River Knap-in!
It was a Flint Knapping and Stone Age Arts Festival!
My first! heehee!
And here I am making myself at home!
The inside of the Tee Pees were surprisingly roomy!
I stepped back a little to watch this...
EEEE!!!
But we saw some amazing arrowheads and relics!
I bought an arrowhead that this young man had made!
And this necklace that his mom created!
It was very interesting and a gorgeous day at the State Park!
I hope you’ve had a good weekend!
I’m joining Mary at the little red house for Mosaic Monday!
Now tell me...who knew what a Knap-in was?
I started a sewing project...just for fun!
But then I needed to run a few errands and the next thing I knew I was at the Thrift store!
So this little girl...Made in Hong Kong...
came home with me to help!
She looks like she is throwing her hands up when she sees the mess I’m in at the sewing machine!
But then she got her little sewing kit....
and fixed herself a cup of tea...
and now she’s ready to be my little helper!
And how I would LOVE to be relaxing with Lavender Vanilla soap from Sunburnt Cow after a hard day at ‘work’!
They are having a fabulous giveaway HERE!
And while you are there check out their contest...
So go enter and maybe one of us will be LUCKY!
What should I name my sweet little girl? And ideas?
Enjoy your weekend! ♥
