It was on the way!!!

We went here first....

and now we’re in Florida!

Hubby surprised me with a stop overnight

at our favorite Hampton Inn (taken from the back)

 

on Jekyll Island, Georgia!

We got there at the perfect time to walk on the beach!

I’ll post more pics soon!

And I’ll visit everyone when I can!

Our morning drive and a GIVEAWAY WINNER!

We drove to Biltmore Village to our favorite bakery… Brueggers Bagels to get a baker’s dozen this morning (I chose blueberry and hubby picked sesame) so I thought I would post some photos I took from the window of our car!

The clouds looked amazing!

The Smokey Mountains were smokin’!

Did you see the ‘happy face’ when we sped by?

And do we have time to stop here?

 

(we didn’t…but I had to ask! heehee)

Are those bicycles exceeding the speed limit?

WHOOSH!!!

Was that a trolley?

Are we going to stop at Mr. Hot Dog and Mrs. Ice Cream? (I’m starting to sound like a child…a spoiled one at that! heeehee)

Back home…time for a cup of coffee and a fresh blueberry bagel! I only want half…do you want to share?

I got to drive this new car for one day!

And I got my hair ‘trimmed’ at my favorite salon! I know a few of you thought it was funny that I wanted to get it ‘cut longer’!

I don’t have any …..YET!

I need to let my hair grow out just a little bit more!

What to do….what to do!!!

I went into a new thrift store that is run by a local church and it was filled with Christmas items, books, toys, clothing…all of the usual stuff!

But what were the prices? You were to give a reasonable donation!

And you know what? That’s actually a little harder than you might think!

Here’s what I got…..

books of course, old 1920 copies of Shakespeare that had been in the library.

Some ‘nautical’ items…

oh….and ANOTHER BOOK! heehee!

And these cute little Christmas ornies!

Aren’t these the tiniest little ornaments?

Oh, and a bunny I almost forgot!

The books smelled like….WELL…OLD BOOKS! I had just emptied this detergent container

so the books are going to ‘live’ in a box for awhile! (we’ll see if this helps!)

Fall decorating just got MORE FUN!!!

We have an island in the kitchen here in our condo that separates the kitchen from the living room.

It creates a small ‘wall’ on the living room side that we knew we didn’t need for bar stools…(this is another small wall on the end that will give you an idea of what I mean…since I forgot to take a ‘before’ photo! lol)…

so my husband found the perfect little shelf unit for me to use to display seasonal things!

He brought out my boxes of Fall items

and I looked around for some of my old books and vintage items to fill the cubbies!

It sure was fun to make little vignettes for Fall!

Do you have a space in your house that could use some shelves?

We bought these at Walmart for $29.97!! You can’t beat that!

A little music…a little dancing!

We went to Biltmore Park to hear Dashboard Blue this weekend and my Zumba class danced to a few of the songs!

We had a few people from the audience join us…

and some really sweet kids that had fun!

Do you remember being a kid and loving to dance…and NOT being too shy to get up in front of everyone?

I’m still LOVING Zumba and I’ve been going to the classes twice a week!

I love to walk…but I would rather DANCE!
