Good Monday morning!

I hope you’re having a glorious morning! The weather here has been so beautiful that we’ve spent more time outdoors and less on the computer!

Hubby and I have taken several day trips lately and I have lots of photos to post! Mt. Pisgah up close….

You’ve seen views of the mountains from my balcony….

But now let’s take a drive up into those mountains! We have to drive through several of these…..

EEEE! Light at the end of the tunnel!

But have you seen the condo from the mountain top?

DSCN8030

We spent the day on Mt Pisgah and could see our condo through our binoculars…..

from this overlook! (it shows up better with the binoculars! )

It was really  neat! (our condo is in the center of this cropped photo!

My other news is health related! (and so I am including a photo of ME on Mt Pisgah ready to do a little hiking!) I decided to change my diet….add more healthy veggies and cut my carbs and sugar intake….and I’ve lost 10 pounds (in three weeks) ! YAY for me! I have also exercised every day! So that has made me feel better (along with my clothes! lol) I did not , as so many diet ads say…..lose 10 pounds and 5 dress sizes! heehee! But my clothes feel loose again and I have more energy so I am very happy with the difference!

Any encouraging words would be welcome! It’s not easy losing weight at my age! lol Hope you have a marvelous Monday! I look forward to visiting you!

I’ll be right back….after my walk! Can you come?  Hot

Sounds good Diane what your doing for yourself. The only other thing I might add is power walk(walk fast)swinging both arms. Also my eating includes, (I never say diet because its my way of life now since thyroid cancer)Lots of whole grains in everything just about.Pasta, bread, cereal.Lots of water of course we all know that.Eat little meals often.Actually it sounds like its step by step and hard to follow but thats all I bring into my home now.So it has become a way of life for me so to speek.

Ive never felt better.I also power walk just got home lol.Took both dogs... went about almost 2 miles. Im past 50 Diane and we all know at this age we have to do more for our bodies.Good Luck it looks like your doing well!Happy week to you!

Congratulations! It is not easy to lose 10 pounds. You look great.

Your views are beautiful and so lush and green. You are living in a beautiful area of the country.

I have to laugh at Penny's remark...maybe after they kick her in the pants they can come and give me a good kick in the pants too! I would love to lose 10 pounds.

Your mountain views are all beautiful.
Congratulations to you on your weight loss. It does seem to be harder to lose the older we get. You look great. Keep up the good work.

Great photos of the mountains and I so need to join you on getting healthy. It is one dress size for every ten pounds so you are probably close to being down one size. Congrats.

Good for you! I did the same diet earlier this summer and lost only three pounds. Discouraged! I'm having my thyroid rechecked now.

Beautiful mountain pics!

You and your hubby take the most amazing day trips! I am jealous! LOL!! And I need to be up and out walking, not sitting behind my sewing machine so much.

Good for you for choosing a more healthy way of eating. I try, but don't always make it! Only encouragement I can give is to just stick with it and remember you are doing it for a healthier you! (And I think you look great!)

XOXO,

Cyndi

Yay, I did that too the end of April. The dreadmill is not idle, but I need to step it up. However, I've lost 25 pounds and have 17 more to go. . . . my reunion is Oct. 1. I feel that I have lost enough that I don't look like I watch tv all day (actually I don't watch much and I'm crocheting when I do (nascar). I am so proud of you, I love the Fresh Market fresh veggies and fruit. It all tastes like it did all those many years ago when I had my own garden and things weren't so 'sprayed' up. Blessings, Janet PS Love the pics. Where was the horse farm, would love to live there ;)

Beautiful country Diane, and congratulation on your 10lbs! It's not as easy as when we were in our 30's huh? I'm 45 and it's really a struggle, but I think you are doing it the right way. A little exercise, and watching what we eat. Boy, more energy and your clothes feeling loose, that's what's it's all about!
