Yikes! There is no way that I'd be taking that hike. I'd prefer to have you do it and take pictures.

You are so funny Diane...the alligator on the other hand is NOT!

Oh boy....

Thank you for the invite, but I think I will stay in our craft room ALL Day. That gator looks scary.

I agree with Miss Vee...yup I agree 100%.

You're right, this is a WOW, especially for those who don't live here in Florida.

He's a BIG 'un and I'm glad you just ran into him on a trail and not in your kitchen like that lady a few years ago.

Love how you set up the pics — full of suspense!

Glad you didn't post the pics of the water moccasins, they freak me out more than the gators! I dislike snakes intensely.

I guess we have to put up with the snakes and gators, because we also get the dolphins and wonderful beach birds! We live in a nature-rich environment, don't we?

dear my friend,
your trip was great, but I'm afraid of alligators, which are lurking on the river. I'm a timid but you're a hero. Have nice full day to you.

I loved that walk ... well, maybe except for that gator ... I could do without him!

I hope you were taking those alligator pictures with a zoom lens!!! Yikes!!!

A gator is not something I see in my neighborhood while taking the daily walk! Wow!

You are looking so fit!
And if you don't mind me saying...alligators are so creepy! They sit there so still when really you know they just want to eat you!

Great pictures Diane! I like your story, too, so much fun to read your blog :) I love getting good shots of our gators. It makes the trip to the river so much better when we see gators. I love taking out of state guests out to see them!

I always enjoyed those rare glimpses of gators; it was the cottonmouths lurking in the reeds that kept me out of the water!

Now that would have surely freaked me out. Probably had a stroke or something.

Maybe I don't want to move to your neck of the swamp after all! Hi Diane! Waving from sunny Washington. We have bears to fret about here. I won't trade my bears for your alligators...sorry.

You would not catch me in canoe with gators around. I would fear they would turn us over. I grew up in Florida and we swam in lakes with gators when I was young and foolish..No More!
