Love the hankies! So cute. Great idea for a mosaic. The flower one is just beautiful.
Love your cute hankies. Lovely mosaic and photos.
I was watching You've Got Mail today and Meg Ryan handed a little girl a hankie to which she asked "what's that". I have always loved handkerchiefs and yours make a fun mosaic!
Those must be mostly children's hankies...so cute. Nice mosaic. Enjoy your sewing!
Such a fun mosaic with your little hankies. I was given one like them in a swap I joined, and it is a real treasure. Such a nice post today.
Omigosh, your hankies are so cute!!! They are a lovely reminder of a gentler era, aren't they?
I remember when we all carried a hankie! Those are sweet ones!
Those hankies bring back memories. Too bad women don't carry them anymore.
Love the hankies and that you are having fun! Have a great week!
Hello Diane! Everything looks so alive because of the colors. Happy sewing!

Hugs,
Your hankie collection is sweet. I love collecting them too. Darling collage.
I can tell you're having fun, lovely mosaics they remind me of the days when we all had a little hankie tucked up our sleeves.

Pretty hankies, I remember using them as a child. You have a great collection. Enjoy and have a great week.!

Lovely hankies. Why don't we see them in stores anymore?
Sewing is a wonderful pasttime, and almost becoming a lost art. Keep it up, and show up what you have created when you are done.

I LOVE the hankies! My maternal grandma always had one or two in her apron pockets. She's been deceased for many years, but I still have some of those hankies. They've been placed in a drawer for so long, but I finally decided how to enjoy and display them...put them in frames and make a wall arrangement! And, Oh My Gosh...Nurse Nancy!! I HAD that little Golden Book! Such nostalgia just went through me! Thanks for sharing! :)
Those hankies are adorable! I love vintage hankies! I still carry one in my purse.
Have fun sewing. Love those vintage hankies and very cute childrens book.
I spotted a rabbit on an antique hanky! ~SQUEAL!~ Have fun with your sewing projects!
You've been a busy girl!
You found some sweet hankies!!! I just love children's hankies!!! Great finds!!! Can't wait to see what you've been working on!
Fab, FAB, FABULOUS! So cute
You are so creative, I may have mentioned before I hate sewing :(
Delightful mosaic. Can't wait to see the projects you're working on. : )
How cute are those hankies!!!! I have some that belonged to my grandmother and my mother that I just treasure.
AND, of course, you had the perfect little book to go with them.
I'm so glad to read that you're having a wonderful time being creative and making fabulous things, that is a great way to while away the hours. Sounds like you're like me, once I get started I don't want to stop. Enjoy!
Hugs
I think the book "Nurse Nancy" was one of the ones that influenced me to want to be an RN when I grew up, Diane! Your book is in wonderful condition! I still have my childhood book and the cover is falling off from use..lol. I also liked reading the Cherry Ames nurse series when I was in my early teens.
Glad you are having fun with sewing projects--I look forward to seeing them on your blog when they are finished.
Sew what-cha make-in? do tell.
Are you making a baby quilt out of hankies. My sister made one for our great niece and it turned out so sweet! I can't wait to see what you have created.
Have a sweet day and hugs, Elizabeth
What great collection you have there. I love all the hankies and the girl with the thread...wonderful!
Everything looks great:)
Love all your hankies! I cannot wait to see what you have been sewing! I have some of my grandmother's hankies and I am trying to come up with ways to display them when I get my bedroom done. I love vintage linens and see no sense in having them if they are not going to be used and/or displayed.

Gorgeous collection!
Makes me want to come over and thumb through it all, and then talk about life's issues and have a good therapeutic cry with you! lol
Ciao Bella!
Have a great day!

Have fun! When you're working on a sewing project it's really difficult to leave the machine until everything has been completed. :)

These are beuatiful little trinkets!
I adore vintage hankies
They remind me of my great aunt jenny.
She always had one tucked in her chair cushions...she just passed away this November and my mom just got two of her hankies to send me.
I will cherish them always.
Great post.
Amy
Love the dolls and hankies. Have you seen the book called Hankie Couture? It's all pictures of fashion doll dresses made from hankies and I believe it includes a pattern. I just ordered the book from the library and it's on the way to me. Just thought it might interest you.
Lovely dolls, I love them too but I don't have much of them (yet). Kisses from Spain.
