Here’s how I did it!

I know it may be different for other computers and

not everyone uses Picassa but here’s how I did it!

Fullscreen capture 4292011 104904 AM

First I opened the web cam for Folkston HERE

and I opened Picassa.

Then when my hubby called to say he was close, I watched him go over the tracks and hit the button at the top of my computer that says, Print Screen.

When the icon popped up from Picassa, I clicked on it and went to the top of my page under file and clicked ‘save as’ and I saved it!

It was that simple! And lest you think I figured this out myself...hubby showed me how to save it before he left! heehee!

Here’s a couple of tutorials I found online just now!

Yesterday was the anniversary of when we met 17 years ago and he gave me this card! He bought it after he made the sign! How cool is THAT!

Have you looked at the eagles in Decorah lately?

The link to that webcam is....HERE !!!

I had a fabulous weekend! Can’t wait to share photos!

That's a pretty nifty trick Diane! I'm still amazed that you CAN use web cams in various places to do this in the first place. Modern technology is just incredible.

How amazing is it that he found a card like the sign he made?! Totally, totally amazing!

Happy 17th year meeting each other anniversary!

How romantic to celebrate when you met! I can't remember the date for us.
I would have loved a web cam like that when our kids were younger. I could have kept a real close eye on them!

What a fun idea this is, Diane, and how cute your husband is to hold up that sighn for you! :)

I loved reading about your "other self" in your prior post. I also love to look for shells on the beach, and sea glass!

A few years ago while visiting in NYC, my son told me where an Earth Cam was (by the TGIF in Time Sq). When we got there, I called him. He got on the link, and saw us waving at him.
Gotta love modern technology. : )
Thanks for coming by today.

This was way cool! What a romantic hubby!

I have been watching the Decorah eagles from the very beginning with the eggs. So addicting! They have gotten so big. (Of course, I have a special interest, being from Iowa and all. :-)

What a great idea! And your romantic hubby did proud--heart melting.

Thank you for your kind comment on our loss of Baggins. It really helped!

You're such a clever gal and I see your hubby is just as clever! That is so cute that he held up that sign and that he found a matching card afterwards.

Okay, you guys get the Blogland Cute Couple Award this month! Congrats on 17 years and I wish you many, many more.

Now what I personally found most interesting is that the little town of Folkston has a webcam, I never knew. I have lots of family in that area and I'm ready to call them up and tell them to get down to the tracks, so I can see them LIVE!
