Now this is what I call FUN!!!

The weather has been warm and rain free! YAY! So I’ve had lots of fun! Cousin Fun!

DianecrIMG_0643

My sweet cousin, Cindy came to Florida this week so one day we went to Homosassa Wildlife Park.

I love this wildlife park because all of the animals here live in Florida (except for one! Lu the Hippo has lived here a long time but there aren’t any other hippos here…that I know of! lol)

She was hoping to see the Manatees but the water is so warm now that most of them have gone back out into the rivers and streams.

There are 4 that live in the park though so we got to see them.

Want to see a close up?

I love them! And the water is so clear!

Cindy has a really great camera so I’ll steal borrow some of her pics!

I fell in love with this little Green Heron!

A precious tiny Burrowing Owl too!

And she got the best photos of a River Otter that we watched. How fun…and FAST they are!

Lots more to share another day!

I’m joining Saturday’s critters HERE

and I’d Rather B Birdin’.

What a wonderful place to visit! The manatees are creatures we don't see in the wild up here in the north -

I hear we have some new animals and displays at the Zoo here--so want to go and see them--but---no body wants to pay the nearly $20 to get in!!!
I did leave you a reply to my last post on the mermaids--but you might have to go back to my blog site to read it--google is messing up today with the comments!!!

Gorgeous shot of the Green Heron! I love manatees so much! My husband got to drive with them once and was petting one and the manatee was spooked when someone else came up behind it. It shot over my hubby like a lightning bolt...he said it was like being run over by a truck! :-)

A fun time spent with your cousin. And going to the wildlife park makes it even more fun. Love that little Heron, and I've always wanted to see an Owl close up. They fascinate me. The Otter collage is cute too.

Have a restful Sunday, Diane.

We loved loved loved our trip to Homossasa in December .... it's a wonderful park. How fun to share it with your cousin, a great way to show off Florida's wildlife (and of course Lu!).... I love how Fl has made state parks out of these old tourist attractions and made them even better.
