A Weekend to remember!

It was a fabulous weekend with amazing weather!
Cool and crisp....sunny and dry!

Saturday I went to the Art Show on Main and
it was the BEST art festival of the year!

We've bought a lot of local art so it was fun to see some of our
favorite artists again and find out what they are working on now!

Then on Sunday we packed a picnic lunch and headed to the mountains!
We own land up in the Bluff community in NC, very near the TN border.

This was our view while we sat and ate lunch!

Then I enjoyed taking photos of the flora and fauna!
(but I will save those for another day!)

We drove down the winding mountain road to my Dad's old home place
and we celebrated his life. It was the 5th anniversary of his passing
and we hiked the land! It was a wonderful way to remember him.

Take a hike with me along the creek....

Let's cross over to the island first....

Is he trying to catch a fish? lol

And enjoy the views of the creek and waterfalls.

It's hard to capture the beauty
and magnificent power of the creek.

It is SO loud, you can not talk and be heard
and you could not walk into the water without
being swept off your feet....plus it's ICE cold! lol

So if you imagine....deafening waterfalls and icy spray...
enjoy the breathtaking beauty of a walk along the creek!

Happy Monday everyone!
God bless!Align Center

Your photos are FABULOUS, I felt as if I could almost hear that water moving, the sound of it is so soothing and peaceful inspite of its rushing loudness! Love the view you had from the picnic spot, I think I would have wanted to stay all day just right there! What a lovely way to spend the anniversary of your father's passing, by being where he loved to be and keeping him very close to you in thoughts and in your heart. You must miss him very much. Have a wonderful Monday, and thanks for sharing such lovely photos. I am thrilled to be able to see a place so far away on such a personal basis!! Debby

Beautiful and mesmerizing. Oh how I would love to walk that trail. And the bridge, Wow!, it looks like the bride on that childrens movie, dang, I can't think of the name of it. Anyway, what a lovely place to have lived in. I envy your fathers homestead. I envy you being able to walk through such a scerene and magical place. Can I come along next time. Please. I have a nice trail that I walk behind our library but there are no streams or waterfalls. Waterfalls are my weakness.
Thanks so much for sharing that with us.
