I just HAD to buy groceries this morning and since it was 44 degrees
when we got up I decided to wait and walk this afternoon.
Grocery shopping was good!
I bought all the ingredients for my hubby to make CHILI!!
He uses a fresh lime in his recipe which makes ALL the difference!
And I went to Earth Fare ( a whole foods store )
and bought Acorn Squash soup, a chicken pot pie (fresh)
chicken salad, sweet potato salad, Orange scones,
and lots of fresh fruit and veggies.
So that was nice....to get all stocked up again!
I walked at the park and saw 12 geese fly over...honking all the way
and THEN.....
I met Julie Wunder!
Our favorite Meteorologist on our local ABC station!

This girl sounds like she should be applauded. Especially for her work for animal welfare. It's so hot and muggy here! I woke up to windows smeared with humidity.

I like your grocery list! Once ran into our local weatherman and could only grin. They do have that celebrity status don't you know. She looks like a sweetheart and I'm sure that you will long remember the day you met her.
That is exciting! One of our local weathermen came to the one of the girl's schools and talked to them and let them see the storm tracker Hummer they used. It is cool to see "famous" people :)
Your day sounds heavenly to me. I love to grocery shop. Seems like you have a really nice store...you bought prepared food there?
I'm proud of you for walking in the cool air. That's my favorite time. We didn't get to walk because the rain has not stopped all day!
Hi Diane,
Your day must have been exciting meeting up with your weather girl ~

I just love her...She is my favorite. How fun you got to meet her. Does she live near you?
Do you know my new home is only 5 minutes from Earth Fare? Once I get settled, we definately need to get together....

Thanks for stopping by my blog to visit me. I sure wish that you could come to the Sauerkraut Festival too. It is amazing...over 500 booths and in a charming little town with lots of prim shops and antique stores.
How fun to meet the weather girl. Our local news crew will be the show this weekend...it is always fun if they stop in the booth to look around.
Have a great weekend.
