I love seashells...there are so many ways to use them in decorating!
My hubby gets credit for cleaning my shells and putting them on the table to dry....
he also made me this sorting box! Thanks Honey!
I found this big shell bowl at the thrift store and I think it is just what I need for displaying some of the larger shells. It looks like someone glazed and fired it...it's not perfect which makes me love it even more!
The purple shells...or lavender...are my favorites so I put some in a little 'Made in Italy' ceramic box to place on my table in the lanai along with the book I just finished, Remarkable Creatures by Tracey Chevalier. It is one of the best books I've EVER read! I hope you'll look for it and let me know if you read it! I absolutely LOVE it! It almost makes me wish I had been born in the early nineteenth century...almost! heehee! ♥
I found this little pure white dish at the Thrift store, too....
and filled it with shells! Perfect!
This little green bowl would be perfect for sea glass...
I need to go back to the beach!
And the WINNER IS.....
Send me your address and I will get the book in the mail!
She has a delightful blog and lives close by! I'm delighted she won and hope everyone will put this book on their summer reading list!
It's wonderful!
Enjoy your day! Happy Blogging!

Wonderful shell treasures and your hubby is so good to help you with a sorting box. I love how you're displaying them within a shell, too. And, now that you've recommended that book so highly, I will look for it at my library. Congrats to Lallee!

I am so surprised!!!! I am equally thrilled! As I said before, I already like this author and this book was on my wish list on Amazon. Thank you so much!
Shell collecting has been a favorite hobby of mine for years. I put mine out every year, including some my mother collected many years ago. You have displayed yours so nicely.

Oh, I'm so envious of your shell hunts! I'm reading a novel by Anna Quinlen and it's sooo good!

Hi Diane,
Congrats to the lucky winner. The book looks interesting. I love your shells and how you display them so wonderfully in the great bowls and such. Great idea for the sorting box your hubby made.
Over the weekend, I took shells and added them to the new landscape where the pool blue chairs are, like a beach area. It was fun and added so much to the pool.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
Hugs, Celestina Marie
