Is it a library?

Well...not quite...but we have plans!

DSCN0212

We plan to have bookshelves built on this wall of our living room and in the cubby behind the screen.

There are BOXES of books behind this screen....

We went ahead and bought a game table and 2 leather chairs for this area.

I'm envisioning favorite books stacked on this table with shelves of books and cabinets for our movies and music!

But until then....

I decided to enjoy a couple of our favorite Christmas paintings

DSCN0204

by one of my favorite artist M. A. Vessey ....

and set the table up for games!

I put this table cloth on at first and thought it looked nice....

until I found this one at the Thrift store a few days later!

So which one do you like best?

Anyone for cards....or Monopoly?

Take time to enjoy the holidays and play some games with your family!

Happy Holidays! And SHARE those M & Ms! heehee

They both are nice but the second one is much nicer on that table. It should be beautiful when it's all done.

I would love a game table, that was great. Even prettier was the tablecloth. Happy Holiday season to you and your family!

Bookshelves are a must in our house too Diane. Hubs has just put some new shelves up for me in my studio...didn't take me long to fill them either.
I love the second cloth the best, I think border prints always look lovely.

Keep the second tablecloth.

And, of course, I love the idea of a library. Will books become like vinyl records in this day of e-readers?

Sign me up for Monopoly. I am terrible with any card games.

Oh gosh..I dearly love to play scrabble and since sweet husband doesn't like to play board games very often..I do it on the computer. How nice it would be to sit at a GAME table, eat M&M's and play my heart out! Can I join you? Oh please,oh please??

I like the 2nd table cloth better. Games will be more easily seen on a plainer cloth. You will love all the bookcases. My house has many and if I never bought another book,I would never run out of reading. Happy Holidays.

I love the first table cloth. But I think the second one goes better with the colors in your table and chairs. I'd love to have some built-in bookcases!

They both look great and are easily interchanged. Oh I'd be so excited about new bookshelves being built. It's going to create a very cozy corner for you!

That space is perfect for bookshelves! I'd love a place like that to read and play games. Can't wait to see the transformation!

I think having the bookshelves in your corner is a wonderful idea. You will really enjoy this spot, along with the game table. I'm loving the second tablecloth. Can't not pick the red ;-)

It will be a great library area, meanwhile great idea to have lots of games out over Christmas. I prefer the cloth with the red trim, the plainer one.
