I live in the Horse Capital of the World
and we see horses whenever we are out and about!
These live on the other side of the fence from the Park!
I made little kissy sounds to get them to come to the fence...
They make walking at the Park a JOY!
And since I’ve been in the mood to read a Western,
I picked up this book from the library!
by Molly Gloss
It is about a young woman who is a broncbuster
working on a ranch nearly 100 years ago!
It’s about horses...and a strong character
named Martha Lessen! OUTSTANDING!
I would HIGHLY recommend it as an enjoyable book
and a very easy read!
I’m linking with Mary at the dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday!
I hope your Monday is joyful!

Beautiful pictures of the horses! Happy Valentines Day
I have always loved horses. Always wanted on for my birthday growing up, but it never happened. Great shots.
Oh how lucky you are to be able to walk near such beautiful animals! :)
A wonderful place to have a walk. They are such graceful animals. Have great week.
Such gorgeous animals... It's probably a good thing you didn't come to the wine fest... it was freezing!
Beautiful animals - what peaceful and relaxing walks you must enjoy!
Just beautiful horses! You are so fortunate to live there! Have a grand week! Cathy
What beautiful horses! You go to the best places for walks!
Well, you know I love horses.. my little QH is one of my best buds. These horses are beautiful- and lucky to live in a warm climate.
I love horses, too, and these are beautiful ones, Diane.
♥ Happy Valentine's Day!♥
I was horse crazy when I was a girl, and spent every penny of my baby-sitting money on riding lessons. I never owned a horse, and it's probably a good thing, as there are enough animals around here!
You live in a beautiful part of the world!
Lucky you to have horses near by. I'd be stalking them with my camera every day as I did a lot of riding as a teenager and appreciate their beauty.
What wonderful pictures. How great is that to get to see horses everywhere? I would have my camera out all of the time!
What a great treat to see...love your photos!!!
Have a wonderful week!!!
Horses are such wonderful creatures, and I have always envied those who can ride. Thank you for sharing, I might have to find this book in my library! Have a lovely day.
Beautiful horses. You must have very pleasant walks with so much beauty around you.
Happy Valentine Day and have a wonderful week.
Hi Diane!
Stopping by tonight to read back and back at all the post I've missed. It's Valentines Eve and I just want to say that I've sent Cupid your way. He was hanging out on my front porch eating chocolate covered raisens and I told him to scoot to your house, clear across the nation and do some good! Spread some love your way.
Thinking of you tonight.
~Jacqueline~
Beautiful photos. We are horse lovers. My sons have several. And my granddaughters ride at an early age. I am going to try and find that book. Thanks for sharing. Karie
Beautiful images, how lovely to have horses nearby.
Here in Normandy we have cows, cows & more cows.
I have to admit that I never knew the Horse Capital of the World was here in Florida, how cool is that?
When I travel from Tampa to Jacksonville, I always exit off the 75 to take the 301, I see so many horse farms. I love taking the back roads, rather than the interstates, so much more to see and enjoy.
Happy Valentine's Day
Beautiful mosaic! What a joy to see the horses as you take a relaxing walk. Sounds like a good book too :)
Pretty horses! Equally strong and beautiful looking.
Such nice photos. I think a horse is about the most graceful and beautiful animal there is. But I've only ridden one once. :-(
Loved your mosaics of the horses and I can't think of any better place to enjoy a walk. BTW, have you seen the movie Secretariet. I think you would enjoy it and if you have on demand TV you can get it. I watched it just last night and have several times. I have a love of horses too and remember this one well.

Happy Valentine's Day.

Sounds like a good book, I will have to check it out. Have you seen Secretariat yet? Horses never liked me much...lol So I was always afraid of them. I guess they can sense it. Happy Valentines Day!
I love horses. You must live in Central Florida...near Ocala? I know there are so many beautiful horse farms around there.
What beautiful horses! I was thinking that you are near Ocala too! But, then when I scrolled down your page, I saw that you are in Gainesville...I'm not sure where that is...When we go to Florida, it's usually to Panama City to the beach there--so beautiful.
I hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!!!
My daughter is here visiting and I'm so excited--this is so awesome. She lives in Atlanta, which is 10 hours from here, so this is such a treat.
Sending (((hugs)) your way,
Cindy
Hi, this post reminds me of when we lived in the UK and one of our daughters had a horse, happy days.
By the way did you get email about the book you were possibly interested in?
Hello LD, ow what lovely photos, horses are such gorgeous animals.
Ruth
I just love Ocala. You have some great antique stores there too. I've seen so many on I75 and have never stopped. You'll have to share a few favorites with me. Loving this gorgeous weather.
Holy crap, you live in Ocala? I'm from there! Well, Salt Springs/Orange Springs/Ft. McCoy! I live in Lakeland now, but was born in Ocala & lived in the area until I was 17! I miss it!
