I find some ‘neat’ things at the Thrift store!

I still love this and I’ve had guesses for it already...

and think it may be for condiment bottles.

And it looks cute on a shelf....

in this corner of my ‘mud room’!

(the chicken candle holder is marked Japan!)

And don’t you LOVE these old cookbooks

and the pie birds on the shelf above?

But what do you think this is?

It’s plated metal and the whole top snaps off.

I love this pretty Portugal linen...

and after I washed it, I noticed tiny snaps.

What is it for?

it’s unusual or ‘cheap’... or beautiful?

A Date with a Deer!

We were ready to leave the Manatee State Park

 and look who was waiting at our vehicle!

I kept taking photos and moving closer...

and closer!

 

And my hubby was the ‘deer whisperer’!

He kept talking to this little yearling

so that I could take photos!

This little guy finally said, ENOUGH!

And then as we were leaving the park, we saw 2 more

cross the road in front of our car.

 

He did NOT like the hot pavement!

Deer are small here in Florida!

Do you see them where you live?

“Way down upon the Swanee Ribber”

I didn’t know HOW hard that would be to spell

WRONG! heehee!

But that’s where we were according to the song,

which is the state song of Florida!

(I was surprised to read the words to the song

and will have to admit it will not be a favorite of mine!)

But we DID go to Manatee Springs at the Suwannee River!

We aren’t having Mosaic Monday this week

but I still made a mosaic!

 

The fish were amazing to see....

Have you ever seen the Suwannee River or a Manatee?

We didn’t spot one here but my husband and I saw one

on the Gulf Coast in the wild earlier this Spring!

It was EXCITING!

We decided to have a little tea party for one

now that we have a pretty new dress to wear!

I’m doing a week of ‘Pretty’!

This is a beautiful tea cup candle that I received

from The Scented Cottage !

She has a wonderful Cottage Shop filled with pretty things!

And they are all beautiful and smell amazing!

I chose the hydrangea tea cup with a cinnamon fragrance!

What a lovely box to open!

Beauty of the Ocean

I brought more beauty into my living room!

We bought this painting at an Art Show this weekend.

(no I didn’t ride a horse! lol )

Hubby had just put a small bookcase in this space...

and now we’ve changed the painting above it.

The hanger showed so we placed a seashell on top to hide it

but that will be changed soon, too! lol

I don’t live right on the coast so I surround myself with art that reminds me of places I’ve been! This painting is by local Florida artist, Toby E. Gage.
