I love decorating with seashells all year long!
But of course there’s something very special
about mixing seashells with Christmas decor!
I bought a shell mirror and it wasn’t perfect....
but then I found this shell box at a hobby show...
and it WAS perfect!
(taken from the top...you can see where I need to glue a few shells into that gap on the left!)
Together they make my heart sing!
Spending time in the lanai at
Christmas time is a Florida tradition!
I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house
for Mosaic Monday!
And Sally Lee by the Sea for a Coastal Christmas!
I just need a little more red.....
Do you have any shells in your Christmas decor this year?

How pretty and especially complimented with reds Diane. Enjoy the holiday decorating season.
Looks great Diane. And yes - boy do I have shells in my holiday decor. I am like you and use shells year round but I love them at christmas time. I have a box similar to yours that was given to me as a gift and I love it.
I do believe you know the answer to that question from me!
Your comment today just made my day, you're such a dear and I've missed you so much. It's good to be "home" for the holidays.

Your shell "pieces" are so nice! It is making me long to own a beach house. Actually, when I tell my husband that, he says, "you already have a beach house, but it's for sale", lol! I should rephrase that. I want 1 house, which is a beach house.
The sure looks pretty! No, we don't have any shells in our decorations!
I have a few shells on my tree as ornaments. Love them.
Diane I adore your Lanai and all of the beautiful shells in your holiday decor!!

Hi, your seashell decorations are just lovely. The mirror and the box look beautiful together. I love your cute lanai, looks very pretty. Wonderful photos, have a great week!
BTW, I like your new banner photo. Very pretty.
No I don't have any, though I think maybe I should. It's not as if I don't have shells around here somewhere. It looks like the quintessential Florida Christmas in your lanai...cozy and comfortable!
These are lovely to add a little to a coastal Christmas Decor
So pretty!
Gorgeous shell creations. V
I am loving these boxes and the mirror. You have really raised these objects to art status the way your grouped them together!

This reminds me of our projects when I was in elementary in the Philippines. I had fun making those shells form to animals or any kind of stuff. Yours are awesome!

No shells in my decor, but what a neat idea. They look great for Christmas.
Not one shell in my Christmas decor, but I have plenty of nutcrackers! Thank you for stopping by. Now I may have to add some shells or perhaps a starfish.
I have shell creations from my MIL...she collected shells from their place on Sanibel. She passed away 3 yrs ago-so they are even more precious to me. Love your shell vignette.

No seashells in my decor, but what a novel idea! Leave it to you, Diane, to be so creative. The seashells are beautiful and very Florida-ish.
Oh, and I love your new blog header. What a nice image :)
Very pretty! I love the seashells with the Christmas decor. And the mirror looks lovely with the shells.
I really like the mirror and the box, and paired with the red, it makes a striking combination. I'd love to come hang out on your lanai.
I love your shells! I have to admit, I do not use shells in my decor but I love them when we visit Oregon each summer. Thank you for visiting my blog! Kit
Oh I love it! I've never used shells in my Christmas decor, but maybe I should!

That is pretty. I just love it when people decorate with what is found in nature in the region where they live. So you have shells, and another blogging friend has a tumbleweed Christmas tree. So much fun!!
So pretty! I love seashells, but haven't any in my Christmas-decoration. Wonderful!
Have a nice week,

I have seashells from the craft store but have never used them in Christmas decorations. Yours look very pretty with the surrounding touch of red. They look very appropriate for Florida. Have a great week! ----------Shannon
Your coffee table seashell vignette is so sweet. I don't have any shells but I think I should add some to my home. I love them and collected them years ago. I use to have them in a pretty clear glass jar in the powder room. I love the shell box, it looks so pretty on the mirrored tray.
Hope your week is fabulous.

I love sea shells but have never thought of combining them with my Christmas decor. Your wreath looks wonderful with the cranberries and red bird. Enjoy your Christmas preparations!

You're right, the seashells really do go well with Christmas decor. The little box with the mirror, and the touches of red - beautiful! Have a great week!
The red with the shells is so pretty! My urn of shells is still sitting on the coffee table and I may just add some red berries and let it stay - Thanks for the great idea. :D
Come back & visit..I'm having a give-away!
Um..no..not really. :( Do HUGE pine cones from our tree count? No, guess not...
I meant to tell you that yours are really lovely though and what a lot of work you have gone to. Lovely designs..and yes, they mix well with Christmas.
