Christmas Seashells

I love decorating with seashells all year long!

LanaiDecor-3

But of course there’s something very special

about mixing seashells with Christmas decor!

DSCN8870

I bought a shell mirror and it wasn’t perfect....

but then I found this shell box at a hobby show...

and it WAS perfect!

(taken from the top...you can see where I need to glue a few shells into that gap on the left!)

Together they make my heart sing!

Spending time in the lanai at

Christmas time is a Florida tradition!

I’m joining Mary at the dear little red house

for Mosaic Monday!

And Sally Lee by the Sea for a Coastal Christmas!

I just need a little more red.....

Looks great Diane. And yes - boy do I have shells in my holiday decor. I am like you and use shells year round but I love them at christmas time. I have a box similar to yours that was given to me as a gift and I love it.

Your shell "pieces" are so nice! It is making me long to own a beach house. Actually, when I tell my husband that, he says, "you already have a beach house, but it's for sale", lol! I should rephrase that. I want 1 house, which is a beach house.

No I don't have any, though I think maybe I should. It's not as if I don't have shells around here somewhere. It looks like the quintessential Florida Christmas in your lanai...cozy and comfortable!

This reminds me of our projects when I was in elementary in the Philippines. I had fun making those shells form to animals or any kind of stuff. Yours are awesome!

Not one shell in my Christmas decor, but I have plenty of nutcrackers! Thank you for stopping by. Now I may have to add some shells or perhaps a starfish.

I have shell creations from my MIL...she collected shells from their place on Sanibel. She passed away 3 yrs ago-so they are even more precious to me. Love your shell vignette.

That is pretty. I just love it when people decorate with what is found in nature in the region where they live. So you have shells, and another blogging friend has a tumbleweed Christmas tree. So much fun!!

Your coffee table seashell vignette is so sweet. I don't have any shells but I think I should add some to my home. I love them and collected them years ago. I use to have them in a pretty clear glass jar in the powder room. I love the shell box, it looks so pretty on the mirrored tray.
Hope your week is fabulous.

The red with the shells is so pretty! My urn of shells is still sitting on the coffee table and I may just add some red berries and let it stay - Thanks for the great idea. :D
