Have you used the ‘Creative Kit’ in Picasa?

I haven’t even noticed it until tonight!

So I took this photo, opened Picasa and clicked on it to enlarge it. Then I clicked on Creative Kit.

The first thing I did was play with the Effects....

this one is Daguerreotype.

Next I used Reala 400 for this effect.

And then Vibrance. (all in Effects)

Then I clicked on Decorate and added a heart and went to Text and added text.

Have you tried it yet? It reminds me just a little of Picnik! What do you think?

And what it the mystery object in the photo? I just noticed I should have moved it! haha! It’s a cork that I took out of an old bottle! (do I need to take another photo? Please say NO! heehee!)

Enjoy your evening!

Have some fun with photos...

and throw old corks away!

Yes I have noticed it and used it. I talked about it a few posts ago too. It reminds me a lot of Picnik. What's up with that?
Love what you have done with it. No you absolutely do not need to take another photo. :)

Have not tried Picasa and can see I will have to take a look.
Love the photos you have taken and the different effects. The old books are lovely.

I think Picasa bought Picnik, so they are using their effects and more! I haven't had time to play with it as yet, but I love all your did in your experiment, Diane.

I'm glad the tropicak storm did not leave flooding in your area. Sure wish we could have sent soem of that rain to Colorado and the rest of the West that has fires. Thank you for your prayers!

No, I don't use any effects in my photos. I am learning the pure natural photography and enjoy it. Your photos look great though! :)

I don't upload much to Picasa anymore, so I didn't know that they added some filter effects. Cool! I'll go check it out!

I like playing around with the special effects in Picasa. And I LOVE the cork in the photo!! I do that too. And then I download them from my camera and start getting them ready to post and see something like that and think, "How did I not see that when I was taking the pictures?" I'm glad to know it's not just me!! :)

I have never used that program at all. Those things kind of scare me..lol

Now, tell the truth- that wine bottle cap was there because you had been sloshing it down all evening and didn't notice until you were ready to hit publish! xo Diana

Wow. I am such a rookie, I didn't even know you could play around with the pictures like that. That's great. Once I asked my husband to add text...he is not pleased with my lack of abilities. Maybe I'll try this. So far to even turn a picture around I have to send him an email and then download from there and turn it around....oh boy. I have a lot to learn. Thanks for the help!

Wow sounds like fun! I'm still using PicMonkey but someone told me that there is a sight exactly like Picnik called Ribbet!
