I mean ‘winter’ vacation!
We spent Christmas day on the beach!
It was beautiful and I have never seen so many shells on this particular beach!
It was 70 degrees and perfect!
We walked for 4 or 5 hours. (and bent over I don’t know HOW many times to pick up shells!)
It’s a tradition we started when we moved to Florida!
We even saw a fabulous sunset on the way home!
Did you have a nice day, too?

We make Christmas last over three days...I would have LOVED to have spent some time on a beach!

Hi Miss Lavender Dreams,
We had a wonderful Christmas day.
Oh, is that a "Sandman" with you on the beach?
Mom & Dad are Northerners so they don't understand Christmas on a beach - A White Christmas in knee deep snow - now you're talkin'. (o:

Aw nature's gift to you for Christmas. Lots of extra shells to choose from. Glad you had a lovely Christmas.
Cute photo of you and the snowman on the beach. What a fun tradition!
How fun ! I have to say even though I have lived near the beach all my life, I have never gone to the beach on Christmas!
Its adorable that you took your snowman with you!
Diane,
You guys are so cute and love your tradition. 70 degrees sounds divine!! Even in Northern California it's not quite as nice right now!! I have never seen so many shells on a beach! You must have been in heaven. I can feel some projects coming on!!
Karen
It looks like you had the beach to yourselves, LOL. We had a nice, relaxing day. Had dinner at a friend's house.
What a lovely day together on the beach. It sure looks empty except for the shells. I would find 70 too chilly for the beach. Perhaps a warm breeze was blowing? Here in the North Atlantic, a 70 degree day would mean very cool breezes from the water. Thanks for taking Mr. Snowman along. I'm sure that he enjoyed the beach, too, and that way we know what time of year it is!☺
What a wonderful way to spend Christmas Day. It was relaxing here, but the rainy gloomy days are getting to be a bit old. I would welcome a bit snowfall now :)
Hugs sweet friend,
Laura
It was rainy and cold but lots of love with my Grandson and my family! Love picking up shells! hugs, Linda
I want to move to Florida. I mean it. I do. What I wouldn't give!!!!
Blessings for a wonderful New Year.
Love to you~
Rebecca PS: You both looks so fabulous! You are BEAUTIFUL! xo
I can't imagine Christmas on the beach, but I guess in sunny Florida it would make sense. Wonderful sunset you captured. It looks like everyone had a great day and I wish you all the best in 2013.
What a wonderful day you had. I used to love to spend Christmas Day at the ocean. It seems we almost always had the beach to ourselves. Instead we stay inside-drink hot coffee-watch the deer in the woods and the idiots on the bay testing the ice by walking out as far as they dare. In a couple of weeks people will be driving on the bay. Crazy, huh? xo Diana
Your header photo is so great! Love it. Looks like a perfect (& warm & sunny!) Christmas day in Florida. We had a lovely day (although snowy/rainy) in Oregon with friends & family.
After the storm we had last night and all the shovelling I've done today, this is just taunting me! lol
Oh, Diane! Just look at all those shells! What a beachcombers paradise! I'm glad you brought your little snowman along for the day. He looks quite happy...Do you think he and Mr. Sandman might hit it off nicely?
Have a happy day, my sweet friend!

I think thats a great way to spend Christmas day, I would enjoy that very much as long as my children could be there with me!
WOW OH WOW!!! I can't tell you how many people I told this week that my dream is to one day wake up on Christmas morning, slip on my swimsuit and head to the beach for the day :) I can't believe how many shells were there!!! Looks like it was a perfect day.
Beautiful day at the Beach, love the sunset
HUGS send my warm weather back to me LOL, I do not like this winter mess!!
Brenda
What a beautiful Christmas day you had. Wow, I could not believe the shells. Today we got the sunshine you sent...thank you. xoxo,Susie
I think your Snowman's cousin lives in my home! :) My younger son's GF gave me the cutest lighted Snowman that now graces our Dining Room table.
Choosing shells while walking on the beach is just FuN!

Diane, I love the snowman with you on the beach! This looks like a beautiful and relaxing way to spend Christmas day. I would have a hard time selecting shells with that many around me. That sunset is gorgeous. laurie
What a great day!! What beach? How clever to bring the snowman ;)
wow Diane this beach looks so beautiful. I love all the shells along side the beach. So magical. And at 70 degrees? What else could be better than that perfect weather?
Oh wow, this sounds like a wonderful winter vacation - who doesn't love 70 degrees?
What a perfect Christmas day. I don't think I've ever seen so many shells either!! Glad you had a wonderful Christmas day. Hugs sweetie.
That sunset is so pretty. Not sure I could do Christmas on the beach but looks like you had a wonderful day! Love the snowman.
wow it is hard to believe that anyone was walking on a beach at Christmas! Your weather was the polar opposite of mine as you saw. I love the little santa with the beach background!

I remember those days in Southern California when we were out by the pool on Christmas Day. I have a head cold and would love to be somewhere warm right now...can I come:-D Happy New Year, dear friend, XOXO
What gorgeous pictures!!! It was bitter cold here and we got a little snow!! Looks like you had a lot of fun!!! Love, Pat
How fun to spend Christmas on the beach!! We got a blizzard the day after Christmas with 5 to 6 inches of snow and my in-laws live an hour north of us and they got 12 inches!!
~Cindy
I loved your seashells, shorts and snowman.
Happy New Year.

What a nice winter! 70 degrees! Here is's like 20 below zero! :) Very cool picture of you and the snowman on the beach! :)
What a glorious way to spend the holiday!
I had no idea beaches had that many shells scattered about! WoW! Not every beach, of course, but still... there's sooo many! =)
We didn't make it out to the beach this Christmas Day as we did last year, but I get to enjoy it through your beautiful pictures.
