Fall Pumpkin ‘Challenge’

I’ve given myself this challenge.

Make some Fall pumpkins!

Sounds easy, doesn’t it?

So on Sunday afternoon I made another pumpkin.

PIMG_6821

This one is made from a remnant of heavier upholstery fabric.

CloseIMG_6833

And who knew a rectangle would make a prettier pumpkin than a circle! I followed a tutorial from Sewing for Women blog HERE.

I made leaves but decided not to use them. I had a bit of felt to put around the stem and that looked better.

PIMG_6829

The necklace was on my desk as part of another craft project! lol And I think it looks perfect draped around the pumpkin.

I wouldn’t usually say to look this close to my sewing but I want you to see the sweet charms on this necklace….there’s even an acorn in the center. (and yes, it’s a $1 thrift store find)

I think everything looks pretty with old books.

But do you think I’m ready to cut the velvet?

 Not yet! heehee!

You are such a kindred spirit, I thing everything looks better with old books too.

Your pumpkin is absolutely gorgeous. You are so talented, I admire your handiwork. As much as I can design fabric, I can't thread a bobbin or sew a stitch.

Have a beautiful evening.

I love your pumpkin and am in awe of your thrifty dollar hunting skills. I have this little acorn addiction.

I am busy out playing on the 31 days of halloween hops but wanted to be sure you had heard about the altered witch shoe challenge.
