There are always certain areas of the thrift store that I like best. Of course you never know what you’ll find.
Linens is one area I always search (and cloth napkins are only a dime).
I often go to the big thrift store first and then drive down the road to Hospice Thrift Store (a quick stop at the library and my morning is complete).
One day I found a pretty cloth napkin (10 cents) at the big thrift store and this beautiful fabric at the other thrift store ($2.50 on half price day) that matches! Isn’t that amazing? The fabric makes me think of tote bags, cosmetic bags and pillow covers. I have all kinds of ideas and lots of fabric in this bundle. (go back up and look again!)
Don’t you love the fishes on this tablecloth?
Very fun for Florida!
And isn’t this a pretty ‘old fashioned’ design?
I’m joining Beautiful Sunday,
and Amaze me Monday!
Have you found anything special this week?
I’ve enjoyed some thrifty shopping!

Hi Diane and good morning. I love the fabric of the flowers and they will make beautiful cosmetic bags and tote bags. Have a wonderful day and I do hope that pop over to my blog today when you get a chance!
Julie xoxo
I love the flowers in the napkins & extra fabric! The pink fish are very retro and summery :) You do get some good finds in your area! Wendy x
I love your thrifted linens! You sure get them for cheap there too. Up here they'd be at least a dollar a piece and up to 3 dollars. The table cloths would be 5 to 15 dollars depending on where you get them. They aren't that plentiful here either. I like the pink fishes table cloth. So cute. Have a great week Diane.
Oh how lovely! I have not found anything exciting at the Thrift store, but maybe it's because I haven't been :) I think I will make a trip this week. I hope you had a blessed Easter, friend!
I love thrift shopping-great finds too!
The fish one is so beachy. You find the best things.
I found a nice tablecloth and matching napkins a couple weeks ago. I washed and ironed them but haven't decided what to do with them yet.
Oh....I collect linens, too! The ones you found are lovely. I have the rose set from your second photo, with pillows to match!!
thank you for visiting Seashells and Lavender this weekend.
I see we have a lot in common.

What lovely linens, Diane! I especially like those sweet florals! Beautiful.
I love the floral fabric. The fish print is so Floridian. I too love old linens and fabrics. Enjoy this great day, xoxo, Susie
Really pretty assortment of items that you found! I haven't been shopping at all lately.
You always find the most wonderful things.
Smiles, Dottie
Love the tablecloth with the fish. What a wonderful "beach cottage" find. I have a drawer full of lovely old linens that were my Grandmother's.
Linens are one of my favorite places to look in the thrift shop also. Love the pink fishes tablecloth...so cute. You did find some gorgeous fabric. Hugs to you Sis!
Linda
LOVE the fabric on the tablecloth. I rarely buy anything at thrift shops unless is vintage linens. You are my soul sister!
Very sweet finds :)

Those are all so pretty.
Hi Diane, I wanted to drop you a line and thank you again for commenting on Susan's blog MUST LOVE JUNK and leaving me a sweet comment there on being in the Saturday Spotlight! xoxoxo Christine from http://littlebrags.blogspot.com
Those are great finds! Makes me want to head out to do some thrift store shopping today!
those are all very pretty Diane.
I like browsing thrift stores, especially the fancy old china, dishes. I pick them up quite often to keep for food photos. that way, getting only one bowl, plate...is not a problem! ;-)
I hope you had a lovely Easter.
Hugs, G
Love that tablecloth. I don't think I ever saw a vintage one with fish. Fun, is right! Years ago, a friend made me a tote bag from cloth napkins. Good idea!
Diane, I love the napkins. We only use cloth napkins at this house. I wish I could find some of these. I have made most of the napkins that we use. What a find. I need to go on a treasure hunt soon. Happy Monday.
Oh wow...you did find some cool things! I love vintage fabric too and am drawn to them. Thanks for mentioning the Hospice thrift store...it reminded me that I haven't visited ours recently...I need to go check it out soon!
I'm anxious to go thrifting, haven't been in a while. I, too, love to look at the linens. Love the Follow Your Dreams piece!
Great finds. That fishy tablecloth will be perfect in your Florida home.

Love the fish. I always go to the linens too. I am soaking a thrifted shower curtain now. xo, olive

I love that fish table cloth! What a great find.

You did get some lovelies there! :)
It does pay to visit those shops frequently to see what's there. I use napkins for pillow covers. Your finds look great. I also actually enjoy using cloth napkins on our table. fun post!
You did good Diane! :) I love all that rosy stuff! Wish you lived close so we could go thrifting together! xo
That fish tablecloth is so sweet! I would love to find one of my own someday.

Beautiful!
Hi Diane, I love the rose napkins! Thank you, yes....I got your card today and hubby says you should get your book tomorrow. I thought he had told me Thursday...oh well. Its coming! Hope you had a great day. We had a peach of a day here...82 and heavenly. I opened up the french doors to the patio and scrubbed them up. =)
Lovely finds! I never find anything like that for 10 cents! I love old linens, and you found some really nice ones.
I do love the fish tablecloth - it's sweet!
Love that fish tablecloth!!
I have 2 pillows on my sofa made out of the fabric that is on the cloth napkin you got. Also have a lampshade with that print too.
hugs,
Cindy
I'm a linen lover too! Love the vintage fish table cloth and that fabric was a steal!!!
Carol
You found some lovely things. I know you will make beautiful and useful items from the materials.
They're all so pretty; love the red floral one!! Lucky you!
Poppy
Great finds- I love linens, too. That red and white rose pattern on the right is a Waverly fabric that is still available. I had it for curtains in one of my kitchens and it was paired with a red check/plaid (inset). I made table runners with that fabric, too. They went with the house when we sold it. You find GREAT things!!!! xo Daina
3 for 30 cents, seriously?? I want to go shopping with you!
those are gorgeous!! Love! You always find THE BEST THRIFT SHOP STUFF!!!!
I see you're reading another Diane Chamberlain---aren't her books the greatest??! I am zipping through them!!
Great finds I can't wait to see what you make with them.
Cathy
Your fun finds have me putting "thrift store stops" on my list of things to do when I have a day to myself. They are always something I've overlooked, but you and a few other of my favorite bloggers make me realize that great bargains can be found and besides - it's fun!
We have so much in common... I love vintage fabric and vintage linen I have tons of it.. What era is it from you think 50s
Maria
I love when you show what you get at the Thrift Store and what you have planned for it. You get great bargains there. I think ours is a bit pricey actually that's why I don't go there very often. They raised all their prices a few years ago and that spoiled it. I love the rose fabrics...I have a "thang" for those lately. I went to a garden club sale though which I'll post about tomorrow along with the lemon bar recipe. You scored with all your great bargains!
Lovely linen finds Diane and how amazing you found the fabric to match the napkin! It was meant to be apparently!
